The way to address the real societal fear of death from contagious respiratory viruses and from pandemics is not the knee-jerk emotional counter reaction: "contagion, viruses and pandemics don't exist", but to state the simple fact that nobody is going to die from a viral respiratory infection if treated with enough wide spectrum antibiotics once they develop pneumonia.
