US scientists proposed making viruses with features of SARS-CoV-2 in Wuhan

"American scientists planned to work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to engineer novel coronaviruses with the features of SARS-CoV-2 the year before the virus emerged from that city, according to documents obtained by U.S. Right to Know.

Specifically, the scientists sought to insert furin cleavage sites at the S1/S2 junction of the spike protein; to assemble sysetic viruses in six segments; to identify coronaviruses up to 25 percent different from SARS; and to select for receptor binding domains adept at infecting human receptors.

The genome of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, matches the viruses described in the research proposal:

SARS-CoV-2 emerged highly infectious without evolving much in humans. The virus “came out of the box ready to infect.” The receptor binding domain appeared “finely tuned” for the human ACE2 receptor yet had little genetic variation when first spilling over into humans, presenting a difficult “paradox” to virologists who sought to prove it emerged naturally. The documents confirm the scientists working with the Wuhan lab sought to select for receptor binding domains that bind well to human ACE2 in their research.
The genome of SARS-CoV-2 falls within the range of a 25 percent genetic difference from SARS.

The documents reveal for the first time that a virologist working with the Wuhan lab planned to engineer new spike proteins – in contrast with the collaboration’s public work to insert whole spike proteins into viral backbones. Following from above, the "variants" were in fact these 20-a-year lab created chimeric "SARS" coronaviruses with different spike proteins all modified by Ralph Baric et al in these Chinese low safety labs, or even elsewhere.

This explains why some of the more frail people died, some had severe disease, while some had a mild cold: it was all viruses with different spike proteins which had varying potential to create severe disease, or not.

This also explains why it was possible to get infected by "SARSCoV2" more than once: it was different viruses.

There were a number of cutting sites in the virus's genome that ensured that the virus could be cut into pieces making it possible to easily exchange them with another gene, as if it were a module. Moreover, these cutting sites were much more regularly distributed across the genome than in comparable viruses such as BANAL52 and RaTG13. This would fit well with a 'reverse genetics' system, which allows one to quickly and easily create an artificial virus. Because you could easily exchange each of those six pieces for another piece from a different virus. Including the part containing the receptor-binding domain and the furin cleavage site. The latter is unique to SARSCoV2 and does not occur in any other sarbecovirus. They had the entire clan of the zoonati thrown at them, with the utmost nonsense, but the conclusions still stood. The entire makeup of SARSCoV2 could very well fit a 'reverse genetics system'. One point of criticism was why the trio focused on only two of those molecular scissors, while there are many more. This was due to the fact that Ralph Baric published an article in 2017 using those scissors, thus writing a manual, as it were, for this reverse genetics system.
