🇬🇧 Major Google Cloud outage knocks out UK banks and services

Google Cloud has been hit by a major outage at its London data center region, causing disruption across dozens of services in Britain since early this morning.

Revolut, Lloyds Bank, HSBC, Royal Mail, DPD, Rightmove and BT are among those affected, with thousands of user complaints logged on outage tracker Downdetector.

Google says multiple services are suffering elevated errors and intermittent network failures, and its engineers are still investigating. No cause or recovery time has been given.

Revolut confirmed disruption to "multiple services" but insisted customers' money and data are safe.
