There are ways round the smartphone issue. It's not as black & white as my friend Simon Elmer presents it.

THE TRUTH ABOUT CO2
CO2 lags earth temperature changes by 600-800 years, not the other way round. The CO2 causing climate change narrative is a hoax, climate change causes CO2 change instead, because the CO2 is emitted by the ocean, which acts as a temperature dependent carbon sink.
The temperature of the Earth is instead dependent on the Sun: the orbital Earth-Sun distance is not constant even in the medium term (Solar Inertial Motion). The long term orbital change is also because of the Milankovitch Cycles:
1. The shape of Earth’s orbit: eccentricity;
2. The angle Earth’s axis tilted with respect to Earth’s orbital plane: obliquity; and
3. The direction Earth’s axis of rotation is pointed towards: precession.

Solar Inertial Motion:
The real reason for medium-long term climate change - Professor Of Physics & Mathematics at Northumbria University & solar physicist Valentina Zharkova.
Basically, the relative distance of the Sun to the Earth changes as the Sun's position, relative to the Earth's orbit, changes. It is not a perfect and unchanging orbit with a fixed Sun. You could even say that the Sun "moves" relative to the Earth.
The Sun is not a fixed point relative to the Earth's orbit as assumed in previous models. When the Sun gets closer, the temperature warns, when it moves further away, the temperature cools. It has always been like this. Nothing to do with carbon emissions whatsoever, which if at all only make an incredibly marginal difference.
(In astronomy, the barycentre is the center of mass of two or more bodies that orbit one another and is the point about which the bodies orbit.)

The best available scientific data shows that the Earth's temperature ALWAYS rises first, & this rise is always FOLLOWED by a rise in CO2 and NOT the other way round like Al Gore erroneously claimed in his misguided documentary "An Incovenient Truth"
If CO2 was the cause rather than the effect of warming, then why is the Polar ice cap on Mars melting too? There is no extra man made CO2 on Mars.. 🤔

The EPA — whose annual budget for 2023 is just $10 billion — has received roughly $100 billion in new, supplemental funding through two high-dollar pieces of legislation, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. The two new laws represent the largest investment in the agency's history."

"This is a prime example of one of the main functions of NGOs. To generate popular demand from the citizenry that will in turn support the legislation required for projects that serve to benefit industry, rather than people and planet. Prior to the contracts being signed or a shovel breaking ground to build the infrastructures that will comprise the “global architecture in the age of the fourth industrial revolution” – legislation is required. And just like a proverbial snowball turning into an avalanche, the legislation begets money for a budget with bidding and construction to commence shortly thereafter."

Climate myths: Ice cores show CO2 increases lag behind temperature rises, disproving the link to global warming | New Scientist
The lag proves that rising CO2 did not cause the initial warming as past ice ages ended
"Ice cores from Antarctica show that at the end of recent ice ages, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere usually started to rise only after temperatures had begun to climb. There is uncertainty about the timings, partly because the air trapped in the cores is younger than the ice, but it appears the lags might sometimes have been 800 years or more.
Initial warming
This proves that rising CO2 was not the trigger that caused the initial warming at the end of these ice ages"

SCIENTIFIC PROOF CO2 IS NOT THE CAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Timing of Atmospheric CO2 and Antarctic Temperature Changes Across Termination III | Science
"We have measured the isotopic composition of argon in air bubbles in the Vostok core during Termination III (∼240,000 years before the present). This record most likely reflects the temperature and accumulation change, although the mechanism remains unclear. The sequence of events during Termination III suggests that the CO2 increase lagged Antarctic deglacial warming by 800 ± 200 years and preceded the Northern Hemisphere deglaciation."

MOST CO2 IS RELEASED BY THE OCEAN, IT'S NOT "MAN MADE":
Glacial/interglacial variations in atmospheric carbon dioxide | Nature
"Twenty years ago, measurements on ice cores showed that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was lower during ice ages than it is today. As yet, there is no broadly accepted explanation for this difference. Current investigations focus on the ocean's ‘biological pump’, the sequestration of carbon in the ocean interior by the rain of organic carbon out of the surface ocean, and its effect on the burial of calcium carbonate in marine sediments."
