🚨BREAKING: A new report on police facial recognition is being used to claim that the tech is accurate & non-discriminatory

BUT it actually CONFIRMS that the tech does have serious biases.

It could turn us into "WALKING ID cards"

🚨BREAKING: Decentralized Cryptocurrency Markets Threaten U.S. Security, Treasury Says

The US Treasury Department has released a press release on the 2023 DeFi illicit finance risk assessment. The report was released after a proper analysis of the decentralized finance sector.

Additionally, the report speaks about how the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), cybercriminals, thieves, scammers, and ransomware attackers use DeFi services to launder and move their illicit proceeds.

The Treasury has stated that decentralized cryptocurrency markets are threatening national security. Perhaps the US Treasury also mentioned that it needs greater oversight against money laundering activities.

Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Brian E. Nelson, said: “Our assessment finds that illicit actors, including criminals, scammers, and North Korean cyber actors, are using DeFi services in the process of laundering illicit funds.”

The Treasury mentioned in the report that DeFi allows users to transact without the necessity of an intermediary. This, according to them, poses a risk of money laundering. The report also highlights measures to implement necessary assessments and actions to mitigate the risks associated with DeFi.

“Don’t leave the Lavra, don’t become traitors”—abbot’s message from house arrest / OrthoChristian.Com

"Remain with the canonical Church and remain with the Kiev Caves Lavra, the monastery abbot urged in a video statement issued from house arrest earlier this week.

His Eminence Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod, who has been abbot of the Lavra for 30 years, was officially informed on Saturday morning that he was under investigation for inciting religious enmity with his criticisms of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the schismatic OCU, and for allegedly justifying Russia’s armed aggression. The process developed uncharacteristically quickly, and already that evening he was sentenced to two months of house arrest in a village outside Kiev, without the possibility of attending the Divine services, while the pre-trial investigation continues against him.

In his video published on Tuesday, Vladyka Pavel thanked everyone for their prayers, emphasizing that “it strengthens me very much, gives me strength, spirit, vigor, and steadfastness in faith.”
His Eminence also recalled that the Lord Jesus Christ foretold such sufferings for believers, for which we will receive rewards in Heaven.

Addressing the laity who have been bravely defending the Lavra daily for a week now, Met. Pavel called: “Dear brothers and sisters, stick to the holy canonical Church, its primate, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, and the faithful bishops and priesthood of our holy Church.”

And turning to the monks of the Lavra, he also urged them to continue to stand strong: “Dear brothers, my beloved, the spiritual council, priests, all the monastics, novices… I’m with you. One thing I ask you: Don’t leave the Lavra, don’t become traitors. When Christ was on the Cross, everyone fled, leaving Him alone. Don’t leave Him today.”

July 1, 2022, Paul Cudenec interview with Keith McHenry, co-founder of Food Not Bombs.

“I am done with the left-right divide. It’s now the humans versus the deadly robotic corporate state”

"I started a second group in San Francisco in 1988. The police made 94 arrests of our volunteers for sharing food without a permit that summer. I would learn some 35 years later that the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force had sent a memo to the San Francisco Field Office about the August 22 arrests, claiming Food Not Bombs was “a credible national security threat”. The arrests sparked interest in other cities so I took my notes on how I started the San Francisco group and made a flyer, “Seven Steps to Starting a Local Food Not Bombs Group” and mailed it to those who wanted to start a chapter in solidarity. During the next few years the city would make a total of 1,000 arrests and with each wave of repression more people would respond by starting their own local group. I also made a point of letting people know they could use the carrot and fist logo and any other Food Not Bombs images or texts without restriction."

2015 article discussing Pierre Elliot Trudeau's stance/role on the Canadian inflation crisis of the 1970s.

"Trudeau’s efforts during the inflationary crisis were primarily about lowering the wages and expectations of Canadians to help bolster corporate profitability and competitiveness, in part helping to initiate the current inequalities between wages and productivity. For example, Trudeau would cast inflation as a psychological malaise amongst the public, a social pathology to be cured, not simply through legislation, but through a public pedagogical effort to lower expectations...

[] Trudeau stressed that Canadians needed to fight inflation by adjusting their mindsets...

In contrast, Trudeau longed for the “conventional wisdoms” of the past—that wealth and progress must come from capitalist ingenuity and profit, not increased social spending and labour militancy. There would be “no more goodies,” Trudeau declared, because austerity had “to be instilled in the psychology of the people.” Along this line, Trudeau would argue that inflationary expectations were symptomatic of anti-social behaviour driven by selfish economic institutions, key among them “the big unions” who were “trying to get a big slice of the cake and pass on the results of their greed to the little people,”[2] by which Trudeau meant the burden of rising costs of living.

But did unions and the working class cause inflation, and the social pathologies that coincided with it? One telling piece of evidence indicating the negative was leaked from within Trudeau’s government. This document, from just before Trudeau initiated his last round of anti-inflationary measures (the 6&5 Program) was frank: such programs were not about inflation, but wage depression. The piece would note for instance, that Trudeau’s first round of wage and price controls from 1975 to 1978 (the Anti-Inflation Board) did little to actually control prices, but was formidable at lowering wages...

The political motive was clear: whether it was true or not, the average voter blamed unions and not capitalists, for inflation."

Aired April 5, 2023: "The rapid development of artificial intelligence has prompted an open letter calling for a six-month pause to allow safety protocols to be established and adopted. We discuss the technology’s potential and pitfalls, with Nick Frosst, co-founder of the AI company Cohere; Sinead Bovell, founder of the tech education company WAYE, who sits on the United Nations ITU Generation Connect Visionaries Board; and Neil Sahota, an IBM Master Inventor and the UN artificial intelligence advisor."

Highlights:

NICK FROSST: Yeah, for sure. I mean, there's definitely a lot of excitement now and there's a lot of hype and there has been about this stuff for a while. I mean, I remember when IBM Watson first came out and it beat Jeopardy. And there were similar conversations like this on the radio at the time saying this is going to cure cancer, this is going to do everything. And it did not do any of those things. Now, the difference here is the tech we're talking about today. Large language models based on transformers and neural nets is a completely new type of technology. It's very different than IBM Watson and older school versions of artificial intelligence. And subsequently, you can do lots of different things. Similarly to back then, there's more promises being made than will be delivered. This technology is amazing at sequence modelling, at reading some text and then predicting what text should come next. That's fundamentally what it does. It turns out that modelling sequences of words and predicting what word is likely to come next can be very useful. And it can do all kinds of things like read a document and write a summary or answer questions or even write code or be your interface into a dataset. But it isn't a digital God. It isn't the artificial intelligence of sci fi. It is just a really powerful new computational tool that's particularly well-suited to some things and not well-suited to others. So it's quite difficult to disentangle that. And I think one way of figuring out what is real and what is just hoped is to try to understand and remember what the technology actually is, and that is a model of the probabilistic sequence of words. At its core, that's all it's doing. It just turns out that doing that is very, very powerful.

NICK FROSST: Yeah. I mean, I think it's always good to be critical of technology and think about whether or not people are working on technology that will be good for the people. I think that it's great to have those conversations. I think this letter starts with a premise I disagree with and is written and signed by a lot of people who are intentionally propagating that premise.

HOST: What do you mean?

NICK FROSST: Well, a few weeks ago, Elon Musk announced that he was going to create his own large language modelling company. And now this week, he's signing a letter asking for people to pause on that development. And I think, you know, one reason for doing that is it propagates the idea that this technology is one step away from the AI of science fiction. And although I think this technology is powerful and has a place for solving business applications and being useful in people's daily lives, I don't think it means we're one step away from an artificial general intelligence. And I question some of the motivations on the creation of the letter, seeing that a lot of people signing it are financially invested in the populous, thinking that, wow, this stuff is imminent and we're one step away from this thing that we've seen in movies.

"propagating ideas"

"It becomes very hard to differentiate what's fact and what is literally science fiction."

Note that in relation to artificial intelligence, media and talking heads do not apply the word DISINFORMATION.

"If the underlying philosophy of the war against disinformation can be expressed in a single claim, it is this: You cannot be trusted with your own mind. What follows is an attempt to see how this philosophy has manifested in reality. It approaches the subject of disinformation from 13 angles—like the “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird,” Wallace Stevens’ 1917 poem—with the aim that the composite of these partial views will provide a useful impression of disinformation’s true shape and ultimate design."

Pranksters Vovan and Lexus posing as Zelensky tricked ECB President Christine Lagarde into disclosing her plan to launch a "Digital Euro" in October that will give central banks control over how citizens can spend money:

"There will be control. You’re right. You’re completely right. We are considering whether for very small amounts, you know, anything that is around 300, 400 €, we could have a mechanism where there is zero control. But that could be dangerous...

I don’t want Europe to be dependent on an unfriendly country’s currency, for instance, you know, the Chinese currency, the Russian currency... I don’t want Meta, Google, or Amazon to suddenly come up with a currency that would take over the sovereignty of Europe."

Central bank digital currencies are the latest battleground in the ongoing struggle for individual liberties. Without global awareness, central banks will pull off a massive violation of human rights, and citizens will cheer them on while they do it.

I’m often asked, “how did you know the pandemic was a scam so early on?” My answer, “they warned us.”

In October of 2019, Bill Gates (and other usual suspects) funded and organized a 3.5 hour pandemic simulation that laid out in mind blowing detail every step that was later used to trample on our liberties and lives. This is officially known as Event 201.

Watch my 10 minute movie, The Plan, to see for yourself just how brazen they were! If there’s anyone in your life who still questions whether or not the pandemic was a planned event, challenge them to watch this side-by-side comparison of reality vs. simulation!

The courage to speak the truth in a top down society of lies is fundamental to the survival of mankind in these days of darkness.

The etymological root of the word 'courage' is 'cor' – the Latin word for heart. To be courageous: to speak and act from the heart: @LOVEnotfearmankind

This is the beginning of the end of being reasonably able to trust that food is not adulterated.
This has happened numerous times in the past and was countered by regulations and inspection agencies.
What happens to a society when these agencies are or might have been captured?
Trust is destroyed.
You may want to consider how you would source food in a setting in which you no longer trust the authorities or corporates.
Best wishes,
Mike

"Remdesivir estimated to have killed 100,000 Americans"

March 15, 2023

"John Beaudoin is calling for a criminal investigation into remdesivir citing data that it may have killed 100,000 people in America.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) authorised the experimental antiviral drug remdesivir, brand name Veklury, for emergency use against covid-19 in May 2020. By October 2020, it had received full approval. It remains a primary treatment for covid-19 in hospitals, despite research showing it lacks effectiveness and can cause high rates of organ failure."
