Two unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the Kremlin. Timely action by the military and special services involving radar systems enabled them to disable the devices.

They crashed in the Kremlin grounds, scattering fragments without causing any casualties or damage.

⚠️ We consider these actions a premeditated terrorist attack and an assassination attempt targeting the President, carried out ahead of Victory Day and the May 9 Parade, where foreign guests are expected to be present, among others.

The President has not suffered in this terrorist attack. His working schedule remains unchanged and follows its ordinary course.

The academic—known for his bestselling book Sapiens—said software such as ChatGPT could attract worshippers by writing its own sacred texts.

Speaking at a science conference, he said AI had crossed a new frontier by "gaining mastery" of our language and was now capable of using it to shape human culture.

Harari used the event to add his voice to growing calls for urgent regulation over the sector, which experts have warned is amid a "dangerous" arms race.

He said: "In the future we might see the first cults and religions in history whose revered texts were written by a non-human intelligence. Of course, religions throughout history claimed that their holy books were written by unknown human intelligence. This was never true before. The denial of God is the confirmation or earthly power: materialism as the new anti-God that dare not speak its name, yet assumes all authority, earthly and beyond. There is only one way to stop this: the return to a story, a word, that is better than theirs, that is more powerful than theirs.
