If you think this is about indigenous "savages" and not yet another colonialist genocide, then you are the embodiment of the colonialist mindset. Your mind and heart need to be decolonised first and foremost.

THIS IS NOT A "HOLY WAR"
Both Israel and Hamas are desperate for us to fall for the religious dimension of this colonial genocide.
Yet both are misleading us about the fundamental dynamic of the coloniser, Israel, on the colonised, Palestinian people as a whole, including West Bank.
-Israel, carefully positions cameras before blowing up mosques, in oder to rally the support of global Islamophobes in the US, UK & EU on its side.
-Hamas, bases its resistance against Zionist colonialism on Islam, in order to draw in military support from other Islamist armed groups or Islamic states.
Yet the men, women, children being killed in their thousands are first & foremost human beings before any religion, & include thousands of Christians. If it was a religious war, other Christians would come to the aid of those thousands, who, being Christian, have really nothing to do with the radical Islamic dimension of Hamas. It's not a religious war. It's yet another colonialist genocide of indigenous people.

THE WEST IS DESPERATE TO DEPOPULATE PALESTINE
"The population of the West Bank and Gaza boasts several notable features. The population growth rate is among the highest in the world: 3.4 percent in the West Bank and 4.0 percent in Gaza, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates. A full 45 percent of the West Bank population are children under 15 years of age, compared with 50 percent in Gaza. Palestinian-controlled Gaza is also one of the most densely populated places on earth with some 4,091 people per square kilometer. Regionally, the Palestinians exhibit high levels of literacy. Among those 15 years and older, the rate is 92 percent for males and 80 percent for females, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. About 825,000 Gazans (78 percent of total) and their descendants are registered refugees from the 1948 war as are 583,000 West Bankers (30 percent of total). Not all refugees reside in refugee camps: 55 percent of Gaza refugees live in 8 refugee camps while only 27 percent of West Bank refugees live in 19 camps."

Gaza's Christian minority: The hidden victims of Israel's occupation - Emad Moussa
"The birthplace of Christ, Palestine was once home to a sizable Christian community. According to UN figures from December 1946, 145,000 Christians lived in the country, representing 12% of the total Palestinian Arab population.
In the wake of the 1948 Nakba, 75,000 Palestinian Christians were expelled from their homes and became refugees in neighbouring countries, as well as in the West Bank and Gaza, which already had a Christian population of 35,000.
Around 39,000 others remained in their homes in what later became Israel, setting roots as the nucleus of the Palestinian Christian community behind the Green Line. In Jerusalem, the Christian population fell from 30,000 in 1947 to just 10,000 by 1967.
As of 2017, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics there are around 50,000 Christians living in the occupied Palestinian territories. Roughly 47,000 live in the West Bank while just over 3,000 live in the Gaza Strip, constituting 8% and 0.7% of the population respectively. Other studies put the number of Christians in Gaza at less than 1,000.
Whilst the statistics show an alarming drop in the overall population of Palestinian Christians since Israel’s formation as a state, Gaza’s Christians have been particularly affected, forced to live under Israel’s ruthless blockade and the resulting economic meltdown." and now genocide..

MILITARY LOCKDOWNS IN THE WEST BANK
Coming soon to a 15 minute city near you
Inside West Bank district under harsh Israeli lockdown since Hamas attack - Joel Gunter
"For more than 40 days now, since the Hamas attack on Israel, 11 Palestinian neighbourhoods within H2 - comprising about 750 families - have been under one of the harshest lockdowns imposed on the area for more than 20 years. H2's population is almost entirely Palestinian, but the district is under the total control of the Israeli military, which has for the past few weeks been forcing Palestinian residents back inside their homes at gunpoint.
Two weeks after it began, the curfew in H2 relented slightly, allowing the Palestinians to leave their homes for certain hours on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Then this past Thursday, as Mohtaseb was preparing to meet us, three Palestinian militants from Hebron attacked an Israeli checkpoint dividing the West Bank from Jerusalem, killing one soldier and wounding five. Immediately, she knew that the attack would prolong and intensify the crackdown in H2.
"We are completely surrounded by checkpoints," he said. "Even on a good day, I cannot drive a car, no car can come in with Palestinian number plates. If I want to bring something to my house, I have to carry it half a kilometre from the checkpoint. When I got married, I bought all new furniture for my bedroom, but I had to take it all apart into pieces on the other side of the checkpoint to get it through the turnstiles, then rebuild it on this side."
That was a good day. Since 7 October, the freedom even to move around in the street was gone.
The Israeli military told the BBC in a statement that its forces operate in the West Bank "in accordance with the situational assessment in order to provide security to all residents of the area."
Among the Israeli settlers living in H2, in the hardline Kiryat Arba settlement, is Israel's far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir. On Thursday, Ben Gvir, who has personally overseen the distribution of thousands of new rifles to West Bank settlers since October 7th, said that Israel should take the same approach to the occupied territory that it was taking in Gaza, where more than 11,000 Palestinians have now been killed."
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, more than 200 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since 7 October, by settlers or in clashes with the military."

Marwa, who lived through the war in Syria, wrote this comment to my article "This is NOT a "Holy War":
"Robin, I think it's not fair to equate between resistance (no matter how faulty it may or may not get due to mayriad of inner dynamics that in the end boils down to occupation) and between brutal relentless oppression and radical occupation. This is not a fair approach. Also, the fact there are no Jews in Gaza is due to the Zionist eradicating of multi-religions not only in Palestine but all over the region. You may read Avi Shaliam memoir as an Iraqi Jew among many other accounts of the Jewish communities that were targeted by Israel in order to leave their homes amongst Muslims. The eastern Christianity do not find it hard to be in unity with Islam as the western one. Your post implies that in a way Islam as a thought is the basis for radical resistance which couldn't be farther from truth. The evidence to which is the 12 centuries of Christianity and Judaism cultivated under Islam which is pivotal to the Muslim thought. The fact that no christian assistance is offered to the current targeted communities in Gaza and Palestine is due to the hypocrisy of the western premise. In our region there is a sense of unity amongst the monolith religions that the west not only fails to understand but systematically seeks to sabotage. I have written about it in articles and in my books but it's enough here to remember that the crusaders killed Orthodox Christians in the Levante and stole their possessions. Also please see what the Jordanian church has announced lately in relation to canceling all Christmas festivities in support of Gaza (as a whole) and how the cardinal in Jurasalem offered to announce the Muslim call for prayer if it was banned as the Israeli threatened."

The origins of Christian Zionism in America
Since it was first published in 1909, the Scofield Reference Bible has made uncompromising Zionists out of tens of millions of Americans. When John Hagee, the founder of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), said that “50 million evangelical bible-believing Christians unite with five million American Jews standing together on behalf of Israel,” it was the Scofield Bible that he was talking about.
Although the Scofield Reference Bible contains the text of the King James Authorized Version, it is not the traditional Protestant bible but Cyrus I. Scofield’s annotated commentary that is problematic. More than any other factor, it is Scofield’s notes that have induced generations of American evangelicals to believe that God demands their uncritical support for the modern State of Israel.
Central to Christian Zionist belief is Scofield’s commentary on Genesis 12:3: “‘I will bless them that bless thee.’ In fulfillment closely related to the next clause, ‘And curse him that curseth thee.’ Wonderfully fulfilled in the history of the dispersion. It has invariably fared ill with the people who have persecuted the Jew—well with those who have protected him. The future will still more remarkably prove this principle.”
Notwithstanding this more orthodox reading, The New Scofield Study Bible, published by Oxford University Press in 1984, intensified Scofield’s interpretation by adding, “For a nation to commit the sin of anti-Semitism brings inevitable judgement.”
Two years after Scofield’s reported conversion to Christianity in 1879, the Atchison Patriot was less than impressed. Describing the former Atchison resident as the “late lawyer, politician and shyster generally,” the article went on to recount a few of Scofield’s “many malicious acts.” These included a series of forgeries in St. Louis, for which he was sentenced to six months in jail.
Had the Scofield Bible never been published, American presidents influenced by Christian Zionism such as Truman, Johnson, Reagan and George W. Bush might have been less sympathetic to Israeli demands, and consequently more attentive to U.S. interests. Moreover, the American people could have been spared the pseudo-Christian rants of John Hagee, Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, not to mention the lucrative End Times Rapture “prophecy” peddled by Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye.
"Wheaton College's Institute for the Studies of American Evangelicals estimates that about 30 to 35 percent (90 to 100 million people) of the US population is evangelical. These figures include white and black "cultural evangelicals" (Americans who do not regularly attend church but identify as evangelicals)." If it wasn't for this massive support it's very unlikely America's foreign policy would solely be about protecting Israel.
