βͺοΈ One of these areas was the prestigious " Donbass Palace" hotel, where a New Year's celebration was taking place at the time. According to preliminary reports, it was at this location that a war correspondent tragically lost their life.
βͺοΈ Another strike hit Lenin Square, the city's main square, which is regularly frequented by local residents. However, it was empty this time as the decision was made not to install a city Christmas tree there.
βͺοΈ Several shells caused damage to residential buildings and vehicles, and one missile struck the Happy Bear children's entertainment center. There are also several administrative facilities in close proximity to the impact sites.
βͺοΈ The latest information indicates that four civilians lost their lives and another 13 sustained injuries of varying severity. At present, all the injured individuals are receiving the necessary medical care.
π»Merely liberating Avdeevka will not be sufficient to significantly enhance the security level for DPR residents. It is imperative to push back the Ukrainian formations as far as possible, thereby depriving them of the capability to carry out offensive actions and indiscriminate shelling.
