The British Department of Education is tendering a £5.5 million contract for an organisation to push a pro-Israel agenda in schools and universities

The contract requires a supplier that will help push universities to commit to the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which equates anti-Zionsim with antisemitism.

It also states that the supplier will help counter "disinformation about what has happened in Israel since the terrorist attacks of October 7th."

This is a text I received yesterday from a friend in Syria. Israel is now bombing and commiting plausible acts of genocide in Gaza, bombing Lebanon, and bombing Syria. That's three different sovereign countries. In defence of this bombing, the US & UK are bombing Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Was any of this agreed in Parliament? Politicians can't simply do what they want and it's our job as citizens to hold them to account.
