Houthis hit submarine communications cables

"Globes" has learned that four submarine communication cables have been damaged in the Red Sea between Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Djibouti in East Africa.

According to the reports, these are cables from the companies AAE-1, Seacom, EIG and TGN.

This is causing serious disruption of Internet communications between Europe and Asia, with the main damage being felt in the Gulf countries and India.

Estimates are that the damage to communications activities is significant but not critical because other cables pass through the same region linking Asia, Africa and Europe that have not been hit.

The repair of such a large number of underwater cables may take at least eight weeks...

Senior executives at international communications and underwater cable companies have posted reports about the damage on LinkedIn and X.

I don't believe the Houthis could care less about submarine cables. In fact I believe nothing of this story. What I think is happening is that they are lining up the next "crisis" which will be a cyber communication meltdown in order to blame it on the "Iran backed" Houthis. This should coincide with the Fed pulling the rug on emergency bank liquidity on the 11th March.

Arrest in Tucker Carlson Assassination Try: Ukrainian Intelligence Hired Russian 'Hitman' to Murder Journalist - THE INTEL DROP

Russian counter-terrorist unit prevented a terrorist attack on Tucker Carlson, planned by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. One man was arrested on terrorism charges in Moscow.

"Russian counter-terrorist forces have foiled a terrorist attack in Moscow, which had been planned, directed and financed by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. The terrorist cell was operated by “Ukrainian handlers” in order to carry out an attack on American journalist Tucker Carlson during his visit to Moscow. 

The terrorist confessed to the plot and gave details on it. He was provided with IED (improvised explosive device) for the attack. The plan was to target Tucker Carlson’s vehicle in the Four Seasons hotel underground parking lot.

In his interrogation Vasiliev recounted receiving instructions and the location of IED, but said that he was arrested before committing the attack. He also mentioned that his Ukrainian handlers promised him $4000 for a successful execution of the attack."

The Berlinale have now closed the replies on their announcement which goes against all the principles of freedom of speech. Some of us got to the comments before they closed them.

This probably rules out me screening anything at the Berlinale, but given that some people set fire to themselves for their beliefs, this is a small price to pay.
