Historical events are brewing in another West African country, Senegal. Getting rid of the country's neocolonial dependence on its former official metropolis - France.
Over the weekend, presidential elections took place here, in which the opposition candidate Bashiru Jumaye Faye is confidently leading (and may even win them in the first round, which will become known tomorrow), who, as part of his election promises, promised to review oil and gas deals with Western campaigns, including agreements with British Petroleum, Endeavor Mining and Kosmos Energy.
He also advocates a radical revision of relations between Senegal and France. And as part of this, Faye is going to follow neighboring Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso to leave the French currency system (by abandoning the CFA franc). And the French military will have to leave the country. By the way, sensing something was wrong, Paris had already announced a little earlier that it was sharply reducing the military contingent in the country (probably so that it would not be so shameful later). In return, he promises to take a course towards rapprochement with Russia.
Thus, France's next major foreign policy defeat on the African continent looms on the horizon. Moreover, Senegal was a key player in the issue of the blockade of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali, which had previously freed themselves from the influence of Paris. And the departure of Senegal from the CFA franc zone puts a final and fat cross on this system (which brought huge profits to France) and on which the entire system of French neocolonialism was essentially built.
And hence all of Macron’s current anti-Russian hysteria. He, like a plucked rooster, understands that he is losing to Russia and therefore becomes hysterical. And Ukraine for him is the last chance to spoil Moscow. But I think he will be disappointed here too.

"The unlikely volcanic eruption [Hunga Tonga] is the likely cause of the extraordinary warming, which in turn led to the occurrence of the unprecedented three SSW events. Our understanding of the effects of these events supports this interpretation.
Historical data on the warmest years suggests a high probability that 2024 will again break the temperature record, similar to what happened in 1877-78, 1980-81, 1997-98, and 2015-16.
Never before have we witnessed an undersea volcanic eruption with a plume capable of reaching the stratosphere and depositing a large amount of vaporized water. This extraordinary event occurred in January 2022 when the Hunga Tonga volcano erupted. The conditions for such an event are rare: the volcano must be deep enough to propel enough water with the plume, but not too deep to prevent it from reaching the stratosphere. Most undersea volcanoes do not produce plumes at all, which makes Hunga Tonga’s eruption all the more remarkable.While there was some sulfur dioxide associated with Hunga Tonga, the main impact was from water vapor. Water vapor is a potent greenhouse gas, so the sudden 10% increase in stratospheric water vapor in a single day increased stratospheric opacity to outgoing infrared radiation. Unlike the lower troposphere, where the greenhouse effect is relatively saturated, the stratosphere, well above the Earth’s average emission altitude (about 6 km), experiences a much more pronounced effect from the addition of water vapor. Also, the increased stratospheric water vapor content enhances infrared emissions from the stratosphere, thereby cooling it significantly.
The unlikely inverse volcanic eruption of Hunga Tonga is currently cooling the stratosphere while warming the surface. However, this effect will gradually diminish over time as the excess water vapor exits the stratosphere over the next 2-4 years. Figure 2 illustrates the movement of volcanic water from the tropical regions, where the dehydrated air from the troposphere enters, to the mid and high latitudes, where it will gradually leave the stratosphere in the coming years."

ByteDance has 6 Months to find a “divestment plan” or it will be BANNED.
As I mentioned, if this bill passes and is subsequently signed into law, which Joe Biden said he would do, then that would be the END of internet freedom and anonymity in America.
EVERYONE needs to wrap their mind tightly around the fact that this bill has NOTHING to do with TikTok. That argument about TikTok being used as a way for the CCP to “spy on Americans” or “inject harmful content into our children” is nothing more than a TROJAN HORSE.

As I mentioned, if this bill passes and is subsequently signed into law, which Joe Biden said he would do, then that would be the END of internet freedom and anonymity in America.
EVERYONE needs to wrap their mind tightly around the fact that this bill has NOTHING to do with TikTok. That argument about TikTok being used as a way for the CCP to “spy on Americans” or “inject harmful content into our children” is nothing more than a TROJAN HORSE.
The REAL reason for this bill, it’s in the fine print, is that this gives the Government free rein to BAN ANY APP OR WEBSITE IT WANTS. Also, the ability to use a VPN to protect your privacy.
I would rather the CCP spy on me than my own Government say what I can, and cannot look at on the internet. 💯
