Et voilรก: inflation is served!

"Baltimore handled 52.3 million tons of foreign cargo last year worth about $80.8 billion, ranking ninth in the US for both metrics and records for the port.
Another record was 1.1 million 20ft equivalent unit containers that arrived or left the port last year.

The port handled 847,158 cars and light trucks, the most in the US for the 13th year in a row, and 1.3 million tons of roll on/roll off farm and construction machinery.

The port was the second busiest for coal exports last year, with Its eight dry bulk terminals exporting 22 million tonnes of coal last year and small amounts of other metals and minerals.

Other top export commodities by weight in 2022 were liquefied natural gas, wastepaper, ferrous scrap, and automobiles/light trucks.

Cove Point, which is upstream from the bridge, is the nearest LNG terminal. ICIS ship tracking data show Cove Point typically exports about 500,000 tonnes per month.

It is the busiest U.S. port for car shipments, handling more than 750,000 vehicles in 2023, according to data from the Maryland Port Administration.

The port handles imports and exports for major automakers including Nissan, Toyota,  General Motors, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volkswagen, including luxury models for Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley.

It is also the largest American port by volume for handling farm and construction machinery, as well as agricultural products.

Imports of agricultural products totaled 3 million tons last year, including 1.2 million of sugar and salt, as well as gypsum, fertilizers and forest products.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ On the UNSC's consideration of the situation in Gaza

Read in full

๐Ÿ—“ On March 22, the UN Security Council voted on the US draft resolution concerning the situation in Gaza. The text was submitted after the US alone vetoed the February 20 Algerian draft demanding an immediate ceasefire. The US representatives made assurances that their document would allegedly allow the UNSC to make the right decision and claimed, publicly too, that they were in favour of ending the bloodshed in the enclave.

๐Ÿ‘‰ In reality, however, the American draft that was put to a vote after four weeks of drawn-out consultations contained only a general imperative to stop the hostilities on the strict condition that the hostages are released. It included one-sided condemnation of Hamas qualifying it as a terrorist movement, but made no mention of Israel as an occupying power or its multiple violations of humanitarian obligations.

The text was not supported by the majority of UNSC member states and was rejected by the Palestinians and representatives of the Arab group. In the end, the Algerian delegation representing the countries of the region voted against it. Guyana abstained, and Russia and China vetoed it.

In parallel, the ten non-permanent members of the Security Council put together and then put to a vote their alternative draft resolution. On March 25, it was adopted by 14 votes in favour, with the United States abstaining. UNSC Resolution 2728 clearly and unambiguously enshrines the demand for โ€œan immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties, leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire.โ€ It also contains demands to ensure humanitarian access to those in need, the immediate release of hostages, and compliance with the obligations established by international humanitarian law with respect to all detainees.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russia remains convinced that the opportunity to act on the UN Security Council resolution, which the United States has so persistently and hypocritically obstructed, must be taken.

A former Peterson fan wakes up to the real question: is Peterson as naรฏve as he makes out to be, has he always deceived us with ideas that never belonged to him in the first place, or has he merely sold out to Zionist money like all the other fake "right" pundits?

THE WASHINGTON TIMES:
Princess Catherine is one of many more young adults with cancer

"It is called early onset cancer. And the Princess of Wales, diagnosed at 42, is part of an unfortunate new trend of more and younger cancer cases.

Colorectal cancer moved as of 2021 to the leading cause (from fourth) of cancer death in men under 50, the report said, and second for women. Young adult oral and liver cancer deaths were increasing, along with deadly cervical tumors in women ages 30 through 44, reversing โ€œdecades of decline.โ€

Across all ages, cancer deaths rose by 2% from pre-pandemic 2019 to 2023, we found. But in people 15 to 44 years old, mortality rose at double that, to 4%. Why is this happening now? Moreover, what will be done to address it?
Among the red flags: Deaths from colorectal cancer rose 17% among those 15 to 44 in that time, four times the population-wide increase. Uterine cancer deaths rose 37% among 25-to-44-year-olds from 2019 to 2023; they rose 15% overall.

We also saw much larger increases, from 2019 to 2022, in liver and pancreatic cancer mortality in young adults than in the overall population. There is fodder enough here to ask if these are aberrations or harbingers.

Especially troubling is the presentation and rise of young colorectal cancer. Harvard medical professor Kimmie Ng said the โ€œsteepest risesโ€ are โ€œin the very youngest people, those in their 20s and 30s,โ€ which another cancer expert called โ€œalarming.โ€

In the CDC data, there is a category called โ€œall other and unspecified malignant neoplasms,โ€ meaning cancers that had spread to the point that their origin was not identified before death. Across all ages, they rose 11% from 2019 to 2023. Now consider that these deaths rose 18% among 35-to-44-year-olds and 16% among 5-to-14-year-olds in that period.

A new preprint study of U.S. data found cancer deaths among 15-to-44-year-olds โ€œaccelerated substantiallyโ€ in 2021, with an excess of nearly 6% above expected. That figure rose to 8% in 2022. A second study from the United Kingdom found โ€œhighly statistically significantโ€ increases in cancer mortality in the same age group in 2021 and 2022.

Not coincidentally, in 2021, the U.S. Society of Actuaries reported unprecedented 76% and 101% increases in death claims among insured workers 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 years old, who are considered among the healthiest sectors of society. COVID-19 was ruled out as the cause.
These so-called excess deaths โ€” 298,000 in 2023 โ€” have been all but ignored in a milieu that lacks the political will to investigate pandemic policies and their aftermath. We need to explore the role of lockdowns, top-down treatment protocols, and โ€” particularly to prime-of-life workers - -vaccines that were often mandated as a condition of employment. There are hints in the medical literature of the potential ways that repeated vaccinations might undermine mechanisms of immunity and perhaps even facilitate cancer growth."
