Israeli military intelligence head resigns over responsibility for the October 7 attack
Head of the IDF Intelligence Directorate Aharon Haliva has requested to resign from his position, the Israel Defense Forces announced.
The stated reason was "his leadership responsibility as the Head of the Intelligence Directorate for the events of October 7th." Haliva will resign from his position and retire from the IDF once his successor is appointed, the statement added.
The Israeli military intelligence head made his decision at an early stage of the escalation in the Gaza Strip, but resigned only now when the active phase of hostilities has ended and most of the forces have been withdrawn from Gaza, the outlet Ynet reports.

Paradoxically the "experts" in BTC, are those who made most money through it, & are those now unable to see how obvious it is that it's just another wheel of the centralised surveillance machine. Just like with vaccines, climate, etc. the "experts" are unable to see the truth because their income depends on the lie.

WELCOME TO THE GENOCIDE DENIAL LOCKDOWNS!
"Columbia University holds remote classes as pro-Palestinian protests continue. Read the president's statement. - CBS New York"
"Protesters started occupying the South Lawn on Wednesday, setting up a makeshift encampment made of tents. They have been critical of Columbia's response to the Israel-Hamas war and are calling on the university to divest from Israel.
"We are demanding total financial transparency. This is something most schools, many schools, state schools, all provide just transparency about where ethic investments are coming from, what they're investing in," said one student, named Sarah, who was protesting inside the encampment.
"It was disturbing to see Columbia call the cops on students," she added. "They're putting their professions, physical and mental well being on the line in support of a cause that they know is just, which is Palestinian freedom in our lifetime."
School administrators warned students to leave the encampment by Wednesday night or face suspension. The NYPD took more than 100 people into custody Thursday, after Shafik said the demonstration violated safety policies.
Columbia said in a statement, "Students do not have permission to set up tents on the lawn. Those who do are in violation of long-standing University policy and will be identified and subjected to disciplinary action."
On Saturday, a large group of protesters gathered outside the university gates, while students returned to the main lawn on campus. Four more people were arrested and released with summonses, according to NYPD.
Students camped out in tents, socializing, and chanting things like "Resistance is glorious."
Meanwhile, students at other colleges, MIT and Emerson College in Boston, held rallies in solidarity with Columbia students. In Washington, the House passed a $95 billion foreign aid package Saturday that includes funds for Israel
A group of students at The New School also set up tents inside the Union Square campus.
About a dozen students took over the school's University Center on West 12th Street on Sunday, setting up tents and making signs reading "Gaza Solidarity Encampment."
In an online post, the group said it is standing in solidarity with protesters at Columbia.
The New School said its president will meet with student groups on Monday to consider their requests for financial transparency of the university's investments."

Columbia University Could Dismantle Israeli Apartheid π£οΈπ₯
Ask yourself, why is a student movement from one college campus receiving so much media attention?
Why are politicians, even the PRESIDENT, commenting on this movement?
Itβs because the Zionists are about to suffer a major defeat that will dismantle their occupation and apartheid in Palestine.
Hereβs why:
Columbia University, like most universities, has an investment portfolio funded by a mixture of student tuition, angel donations, and state government matching programs.
These funds are used to invest in big banks, big tech, big oil, and the war machine.
Regarding the occupation of Palestine, investment portfolios often invest in companies like HP, which sustain the racist Israeli apartheid system through its biometric identification systems used at the illegal checkpoints.
They also invest in Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and others, which produce the weapons being used to slaughter innocent civilians right now in Gaza.
These investments are worth tens of millions of dollars, if not hundreds of millions, and help make the illegal occupation of Palestine and the wholesale slaughter of civilians not only sustainable but incredibly profitable.
There is a dire need for these universities to end their complicity in these human rights violations.
Columbia has divested before.
There is a precedent for divestment.
Columbia and other universities have already divested from South African Apartheid and fossil fuel companies.
However, it was not an easy process.
It took years of organizing and even student occupations of campus property to force the administration to do the right thing.
The Zionists are deeply concerned about this because they know this is the exact path human rights activists took to dismantle support for South African apartheid.
They are fighting a desperate last battle to prevent this from happening, as evidenced by every media outlet being used to amplify Zionist rhetoric about these activities.
If Columbia divests, every other campus in the country will likely follow suit.
This is a significant moment in our history, and the Columbia students must be supported with everything weβve got.
