Columbia University Could Dismantle Israeli Apartheid π£οΈπ₯
Ask yourself, why is a student movement from one college campus receiving so much media attention?
Why are politicians, even the PRESIDENT, commenting on this movement?
Itβs because the Zionists are about to suffer a major defeat that will dismantle their occupation and apartheid in Palestine.
Hereβs why:
Columbia University, like most universities, has an investment portfolio funded by a mixture of student tuition, angel donations, and state government matching programs.
These funds are used to invest in big banks, big tech, big oil, and the war machine.
Regarding the occupation of Palestine, investment portfolios often invest in companies like HP, which sustain the racist Israeli apartheid system through its biometric identification systems used at the illegal checkpoints.
They also invest in Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and others, which produce the weapons being used to slaughter innocent civilians right now in Gaza.
These investments are worth tens of millions of dollars, if not hundreds of millions, and help make the illegal occupation of Palestine and the wholesale slaughter of civilians not only sustainable but incredibly profitable.
There is a dire need for these universities to end their complicity in these human rights violations.
Columbia has divested before.
There is a precedent for divestment.
Columbia and other universities have already divested from South African Apartheid and fossil fuel companies.
However, it was not an easy process.
It took years of organizing and even student occupations of campus property to force the administration to do the right thing.
The Zionists are deeply concerned about this because they know this is the exact path human rights activists took to dismantle support for South African apartheid.
They are fighting a desperate last battle to prevent this from happening, as evidenced by every media outlet being used to amplify Zionist rhetoric about these activities.
If Columbia divests, every other campus in the country will likely follow suit.
This is a significant moment in our history, and the Columbia students must be supported with everything weβve got.

NEW YORK: Columbia College overwhelmingly passes divestment referendum
Students also voted in favor of canceling the Tel Aviv Global Center and ending Columbiaβs dual degree program with Tel Aviv University.
"Columbia Elections Board announced on Monday that Columbia College has passed a divestment referendum by a large margin. The referendum, first proposed by Columbia University Apartheid Divest on March 3, asked whether the University should divest financially from Israel, cancel the Tel Aviv Global Center, and end Columbiaβs dual degree program with Tel Aviv University.
The first question passed with 76.55 percent of voters in favor, while the latter two garnered 68.36 and 65.62 percent support from voters, respectively. The election had 40.26 percent voter participation, with 2,013 students voting, which passed the minimum 30 percent voter participation threshold required by the Columbia College Student Council constitution.
The referendum alone does not have any direct bearing on University policy, but functions as an official poll of Columbia College studentsβ sentiments towards the issue."
