🇬🇪🇷🇺 The West wants Georgia to open a “second front” against Russia. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated this.
“Since the beginning of 2022, there has been serious interest in opening a “second front” in Georgia, which would weaken Russia’s position, but this would destroy our country. Such interest remains today,” Kobakhidze said, commenting on the West’s dissatisfaction with the Georgian law on foreign agents.
He believes that in today's world there is a "global war party" that "is not interested in the fate of Georgia and its interest lies only in weakening Russia's position."

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said he was “blackmailed” during a phone call with a European commissioner, adding that recent shooting of Slovakia’s Robert Fico was specifically mentioned.
According to Kobakhidze, during the conversation, the unnamed EU official was listing potential measures the West could hurt Georgia with over the potential adoption of the “Foreign Influence Transparency Law,” also known as the “foreign agents” law. At one point during the call, the shooting of Robert Fico was brought up: “You see what happened to Fico, and you should be very careful,” the commissioner allegedly said.
“For the purpose of prevention, I considered myself obliged to provide information about this threat to the Georgian society,” Kobakhidze said in a statement, shared by the government on Facebook.
The controversial “foreign agents” law would essentially require organizations that accept funds from abroad to register as foreign agents or face fines. The bill has been heavily criticized by the EU and the United States.

"Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, faces renewed scrutiny by Republicans after the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic combed through emails from Dr. David Morens, Fauci's former senior adviser.
The committee cited emails such as one from Morens on April 21, 2021, to the president of EcoHealth Alliance, Dr. Peter Daszak, which stated, "PS, I forgot to say there is no worry about FOIAs. I can either send stuff to Tony on his private gmail, or hand it to him at work or at his house. He is too smart to let colleagues send him stuff that could cause trouble." Exactly a month later, Morens sent an email, on which Daszak was copied, saying, "I suggested [he] try to interview Tony directly and connected him to our 'secret' back channel. He emailed Tony a few hours ago."
Other emails by Morens repeatedly encouraged people to "email me on gmail only, with the caveat that no other govt. employee is copied at a govt address, as all govt emails are potentially FOIA'able." Another email showed Morens asking Daszak for a "kick- back, for his help with an EcoHealth Alliance grant, and Daszak confirming, "of course there's a kick-back." Several emails show Morens making inappropriate and disrespectful comments.
In a press release, the committee said that the use of Fauci's private email address and the "secret" back channel "raises serious questions as to whether Dr. Fauci took part in a conspiracy against the highest levels of NIH to hide official records related to the origins of COVID-19." The emails also included that Morens was instructed on "how to make emails disappear after I am foia'd," adding, "plus I deleted most of those earlier emails after sending them to gmail."
There is "overwhelming evidence" that Morens "engaged in serious misconduct and potentially illegal actions," the subcommittee alleged in a press release Wednesday."

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has confirmed he plans to sell his businesses and to avoid speculation he will transfer his share in his largest business asset – Roshen confectionary corporation – under a trust agreement to Rothschild investment company which was previously hired to search for buyers.
“A trust agreement with Rothschild on the transfer of my stake in Roshen to the trust management is almost ready,” Poroshenko said in Kyiv on June 5.

He was educated at Colet Court (in the same year as former Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne) and Eton College.
Rothschild was a member of the Bullingdon Club as an undergraduate, at the same time as Osborne.
In October 2008, Rothschild was the subject of much press speculation when it was revealed that Labour politician Peter Mandelson and the Russian aluminium tycoon Oleg Deripaska (RUSAL) had met when staying on a yacht moored near Corfu, in order to attend a party held by Rothschild. After speculation that this might constitute a conflict of interest for Mandelson, Rothschild wrote a letter to The Times alleging that another guest was Conservative Shadow Chancellor George Osborne, who, Rothschild said, illicitly tried to solicit a donation from the Russian for his party.
In February 2012, Rothschild lost his libel case with the Daily Mail who had accused him of being a "puppet master" in reporting about his foreign trips with Mandelson.

I had been researching his case for a year at that point and covered the one day trial. Throughout my research, I uncovered a coordinated yet unsuccessful attempt by the prosecutor and local activists to tarnish his reputation.
Judge Grundmann ruled in favor of Dr. Bhakdi. An excerpt from the formal judgment:
Considering these references, the content of the speech was already recognisably primarily aimed at electing the party of the accused or to animate the audience to a further election campaign and, in the case of electoral defeat, to participate in a democratic process, the connection with another 20% to win a democratic majority. He explicitly called for talks with those in charge and doctors in order to clarify the side effects that he saw as imminent, which is legitimate in a democratic society. No incitement to violence–even if only indirect–could be inferred from the speech.
