🇪🇺 The “parade of victories” of the opposition in the European elections continues:

🇫🇷 France - the right-wing National Rally party wins the elections to the European Parliament;

🇷🇺 Territory of Former GDR - first place in the elections to the European Union is occupied by the right-wing AfD party, a poll at the polling stations showed;

🇬🇷 Greece - the ruling party is losing votes, and right-wing parties are strengthening their positions;

🇧🇪 Belgium - the liberal party of Prime Minister de Croo, who advocated strengthening NATO and supporting Kiev, has been defeated in the elections to the federal and regional parliament of Flanders, right-wing parties are strengthening their position.

🔶 The European People's Party (EPP), which supports current European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen, has further increased its lead in the results of the European Parliament elections, it already gets 191 seats in the new EP.

“According to the preliminary updated results, the EPP gets 191 seats in the European Parliament,” a representative of the EP press service said on air.

🔶 In France, the victory of the opposition National Rally led to President Emmanuel Macron's decision to call early elections for the National Assembly.

"Today we held elections in Budapest and in Hungary and won both," Orban said, speaking at the campaign headquarters, and added that the election results show the European Parliament that Hungarian citizens "want peace."

🇦🇹 The Freedom Party of Austria, which opposes sanctions against Russia, is leading in the European Parliament elections in Austria with 25.7% of the votes, while the Austrian People's Party, led by Chancellor Karl Nehammer, is coming second with 24.7%, according to preliminary data published by the Austrian Interior Ministry.

🇪🇸 Spain's main opposition right-wing People's Party has won the European Parliament elections in the country, beating the Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), led by PM Pedro Sanchez, AFP reported, citing the results of the vote after 99% of the ballots were processed.

The total turnout at the European Parliament elections amounted to 51% according to preliminary data. This result is slightly higher than at the previous elections.

🇪🇺 Election results for the European Parliament show a sharp rise in the popularity of right-wing parties:

🇫🇷 Marine Le Pen's National Rally received 32-33% of the votes in France. Macron's party, Renaissance, fell far behind, receiving half as many votes.

🇦🇹 In Austria, the Eurosceptic and anti-war Freedom Party took first place with 29%. Parliamentary elections are also approaching there, where the Freedom Party may come to power.

🇩🇪 Meanwhile, Alternative for Germany managed to secure around 16%, surpassing the Social Democrats who got 14%. In the former East Germany, Alternative for Germany even took first place with 27%.
