However, the latter thesis does not at all explain how Canada, Japan, Singapore and Germany, places praised for their successful efforts to contain Covid, are now experiencing unusual levels of excess mortality. Christopher Murray, director of the Washington-based Institute for Health Measurement and Evaluation, said.
