Romania is now officially a protectorate of the European Union.

Numbers don’t add up

🔶 Eurosceptic candidate George Simion won 41% of the vote in the May 4 first round. EU favorite Nicușor Dan got 21%. In round two, Simion took 46.4%, while Dan got 53.6% - a 155% bump in support.

🔶 To achieve such a result, Dan would need 87% support among voters who backed neither him or Simion in round one.

🔶 None of the major first round candidates (Crin Antonescu, 20%, Victor Ponta, 13%) threw their weight behind Dan. Where did his support come from?

Fraud in broad daylight

🔴 Simion alleges that 1.7M dead souls were on voter rolls.

🔴 Diaspora voters cast 1.64M ballots in round two, 660K more than the first round (which Simion handily won, 61% to Dan’s 25.4%). Simion says some polling places were closed, or not enough ballots were available, in the runoff.

Foreign interference

🔴 Simion accused Moldova’s EU lapdog government of “immense fraud” amid reports of Romanian expats voting at three times the rate they did in the first round.

🔴 He charged France of meddling using “lots and lots of money and pressure through their ambassador here and through foreign institutions.”

🔴 Telegram CEO Pavel Durov confirmed a request from France to “silence conservative voices” in Romania ahead of the vote.

🗣 The Israeli PM slammed Western leaders for calling on Israel to halt its Gaza offensive and hinting at recognizing a Palestinian state.

💬 “The leaders in London, Ottawa and Paris are offering a huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7 while inviting more such atrocities,” Netanyahu said.

Such moves, in his view, fuel terrorism. He reiterated his pledge to “take control” of all of Gaza.

➡️Earlier, the three Western leaders condemned the Netanyahu government’s “egregious actions,” demanding an end to the renewed military offensive and that restrictions on humanitarian aid be lifted, warning of concrete actions in response if it fails to do so.

Never the armchair theorists who never had the bodily experience of the illness? A patient is always right about their symptoms.
