"Scientists battling China’s largest chikungunya epidemic are releasing swarms of giant cannibal mosquitoes whose larvae devour the smaller insects spreading the debilitating disease.

These so-called “elephant mosquitoes,” measuring nearly 2 centimeters (0.8 inches) in length, are voracious predators. Public health experts hope these unusual allies will become unlikely heroes in stopping the painful, fast-moving virus in the southern province of Guangdong.

With more than 6,000 infections reported in just three weeks in Foshan alone, authorities are also reviving familiar tactics from the Covid-19 playbook, including mass PCR testing, isolation of infected residents, and neighborhood-wide disinfection campaigns. Yet it’s the unconventional methods — giant mosquitoes — that underscore the desperation of officials confronting an unprecedented outbreak.

The larvae of these so-called elephant mosquitoes, also known as Toxorhynchites splendens, is released by a research team from Sun Yat-sen University’s Zhongshan School of Medicine in Guangdong. They don’t bite humans but prey on Aedes mosquitoes — the primary vectors of chikungunya, dengue, Zika, and yellow fever.

Foshan, a sprawling city in central Guangdong, is deploying another tool: a local variety of fish that eats mosquito eggs and larvae. More than 5,000 of the fish have been released into city ponds and rivers.

The city has designated 53 hospitals for chikungunya treatment, offering more than 3,600 beds equipped with mosquito nets and plans to expand capacity, according to state broadcaster CCTV.

In nearby Guangzhou, officials published a risk map of all 120 communities and launched a week-long campaign involving mosquito spraying twice a day."

PROFESSOR RICHARD WERNER explains how the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve were created solely to wage war. TAXES were introduced by governments solely to pay the Central Banks back for the money they lent governments to wage those wars.

It all began when private individuals formed Central Banks and approached governments offering to lend them money to wage war. Effectively, we only started paying taxes so that our governments could murder people and pass on a profit to those who own the central banks. Nothing has changed and this still explain why Britain and the American government are historically the biggest warmongers on the planet: if we stopped paying taxes the wars would end immediately.

Wars are only there to enrich the owners of central banks.

Van Espen: "Usury is forbidden by natural, by divine, and by human law. The first is proved thus. Natural law, as far as its first principles are concerned, is contained in the decalogue; but usury is prohibited in the decalogue, inasmuch as theft is prohibited; and this is the opinion of the Master of the Sentences, of St. Bonaventura, of St. Thomas and of a host of others: for by the name of theft in the Law all unlawful taking of another's goods is prohibited; but usury is an unlawful, etc." For a proof of usury's being contrary to divine law he cites Ex. xxii. 25, and Deut. xxiii. 29; and from the New Testament Luke vi. 34. "The third assertion is proved thus. Usury is forbidden by human law: The First Council of Nicea in Canon VII. deposed from the clergy and from all ecclesiastical rank, clerics who took usury; and the same thing is the case with an infinite number of councils, in fact with nearly all e.g. Elvira, ij, Arles j, Carthage iij, Tours iij, etc. Nay, even the pagans themselves formerly forbid it by their laws." He then quotes Tacitus (Annal. Lib. v.), and adds, "with what severe laws the French Kings coerced usurers is evident from the edicts of St. Louis, Philip IV., Charles IX., Henry III., etc."

There can be no doubt that Van Espen in the foregoing has accurately represented and without any exaggeration the universal opinion of all teachers of morals, theologians, doctors, Popes, and Councils of the Christian Church for the first fifteen hundred years. All interest exacted upon loans of money was looked upon as usury, and its reception was esteemed a form of theft and dishonesty. Those who wish to read the history of the matter in all its details are referred to Bossuet's work on the subject, Traite de l'Usure,2 where they will find the old, traditional view of the Christian religion defended by one thoroughly acquainted with all that could be said on the other side.

The glory of inventing the new moral code on the subject, by which that which before was looked upon as mortal sin has been transfigured into innocence, if not virtue, belongs to John Calvin! He made the modern distinction between "interest" and "usury," and was the first to write in defence of this then new-fangled refinement of casuistry."

Lending money at interest was banned in Christianity for one millennium and a half. Then French Protestant reformer John Calvin came along and said lending money at interest was OK. This opened the doors to lending money at interest to wage wars, leading to the invention of Central Banking for this purpose alone, which is the real reason for both World War 1 and World War 2. We need to return to real Christianity and ban all lending of money at interest and the wars will end. Or stop paying taxes that governments use to pay back the war loans from Central Banks. John Calvin opened the doors to perpetual war.
