At least nine people (believed to be illegal foreigners) died and eight others are missing after a group of worshippers were swept away by a flash flood during a religious ritual in Johannesburg.
Authorities are still searching for more bodies.

The Western Cape Police Ombudsman tasked with investigating allegations that police are colluding with gangsters, has handed over his report to the Premier.

Motorists are advised to avoid the N2 Acacia crossing until further notice. Community members have blocked off passage for all Eskom employees. Heavy vehicle drivers are allowed to pass, although most have stopped on the roadside before the crossing.
At this time, civilians are allowed to pass, but it is advisable to avoid the route if possible.
Camden employees and transport buses have also stopped before the crossing, not being allowed to pass.
A small group have also gathered at the Devland intersection, although no vehicles are being stopped in this area.
Reports of violent behaviour had also been noted. SAPS is on scene, and traffic is flowing at this time.

Both the R71 and R40 roads around Ba-Phalaborwa is *OPEN* and traffic is flowing normally.
SAPS and CPF is deployed on both routes to monitor the whole situation.
POPS is deployed to the area to assist.
Everything is still very quiet and there is *NO* protests currently.
*UPDATES WILL BE SENT OUT ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AS AND WHEN THE SITUATION CHANGES*
