This year will be the first time that we mark a mournful date, namely, Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People committed by Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. This new commemorative day - April 19 - was established in December 2025. Events in memory of the victims of Nazis and the immortal feat of the Soviet people will take place at Russian missions abroad as well.
April 19 was chosen for a reason. On that day in 1943, Decree No. 39 of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet “On measures of punishment for German Nazi perpetrators guilty of killings and torture of Soviet civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, for spies, traitors to the Motherland from among Soviet citizens, and for their accomplices” was issued.
The decree became the first document to provide a legal qualification of the systematic policy pursued by the Nazis and collaborationists to exterminate the civilian population, and laid the groundwork for bringing them to justice. Among the first trials subsequently organised against German war criminals were the Krasnodar and Kharkov trials. Their outcomes significantly influenced the work of the Nuremberg Military Tribunal.
The evidence presented in the materials of the Nuremberg Tribunal and their legal assessments made it possible to speak of genocide of peoples in the territories occupied by Germany, primarily the territory of the USSR. The enemy was open about it waging a war of extermination against our Fatherland. As early as September 16, 1941, by order of the Chief of Staff of the High Command of the Wehrmacht, General Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, German troops were instructed to show no mercy to civilians. The atrocities reached an unprecedented scale.
▪️ The total number of civilian victims in the USSR during the occupation amounted to around 14 million people.
These crimes have no statute of limitations.
The outcomes of the Nuremberg Tribunal laid the foundation for drafting the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The very term “genocide” gained currency in 1944 to define a policy of obliteration of national, racial, and religious groups.
The facts of genocide in the occupied territories of the former USSR have been confirmed in court in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation where, during the Great Patriotic War, crimes against the civilian population were committed by German Nazis and their accomplices from among those in other countries who stood under Nazi banners. Russian diplomacy will seek recognition by the international community of the crimes committed by the Nazis and their accomplices against citizens of the Soviet Union as genocide of the Soviet people. The qualification to this end has been enshrined in a number of documents adopted within the CIS and the CSTO.
In Russia, rehabilitation of Nazism, including actions that desecrate the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Genocide, has been criminalised.
We will continue to resolutely defend historical truth and counter attempts to whitewash Nazi criminals and their acolytes, and to revise the internationally recognised outcomes of the Second World War. The majority of states stand in solidarity with us. There is clear broad support for Russian thematic initiatives, primarily at the UN, where Russian draft resolutions on combatting the glorification of Nazism are adopted annually.
Preserving the memory of millions of victims of the genocide of the Soviet people is our sacred duty.
We will not allow these atrocities to be consigned to oblivion, no matter how hard those who today seek once again to steer Europe down the well-trodden path of racial superiority may try.

This date was chosen because on 19 April 1943, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR issued Decree No. 39 “On punishment measures for Nazivillains guilty of killing and torturing the Soviet civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, for spies, traitors to the Motherland from among Soviet citizens and for their accomplices”. This marked the first recognition of the deliberate policy pursued by the Nazis and their accomplices to exterminate the civilian population in the occupied territories and that such crimes must be punished. The Decree also served as an important legal foundation for subsequent efforts to bring Nazis and collaborators to justice, laid the groundwork for the Nuremberg Tribunal and the trials that followed.
❗We will never be able to establish an exact figure, but according to the estimates of the Russian historians based on documented evidence, around 13.7 million Soviet civilians fell victim to the ruthless Nazi policy of extermination. This figure is derived from archival data, witness accounts and records of mass graves in the territories liberated from occupation.
In 2026, the international community will mark the 80th anniversary of the conclusion of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, which convicted the Nazi war criminals and legally codified the defeat of fascism. Our duty to our ancestors is to ensure that these “crimes without a statute of limitations” are never forgotten and that such horrific atrocities should never happen again. Russia carefully preserves the memory of the millions of victims of the Great Patriotic War, will not allow the pages of the past to be cynically rewritten and will always defend the historical truth!

В рамках Всероссийской недели субботников "Мы за чистоту" и в преддверии Праздника весны и труда 26 апреля в школе при Посольстве России в Иордании педагоги и ученики провели экологическое мероприятие. Субботник прошёл активно: ребята обсудили экологические проблемы планеты, поучаствовали в интеллектуальном конкурсе и высадили цветы на территории жилого комплекса Посольства.

🗓 20-23 апреля 2026 года Департамент государственного протокола Министерства иностранных дел Российской Федерации совместно с властями Свердловской области организовал поездку глав и высокопоставленных сотрудников дипломатических миссий стран-членов Лиги арабских государств (Алжира, Джибути, Египта, Иордании, Ирака, Катара, Ливана, Мавритании, Омана, Саудовской Аравии и представительства ЛАГ) в Екатеринбург.
В рамках насыщенной программы пребывания зарубежной делегации прошёл широкий спектр мероприятий, направленных на развитие международного диалога и укрепление внешнеэкономических связей данного субъекта Российской Федерации.
Центральными событиями стали рабочие встречи с Губернатором Свердловской области Д.В.Паслером, и руководством ключевых компаний области, в ходе которых стороны обсудили приоритеты двустороннего сотрудничества, включая инвестиции, промышленность, гуманитарные проекты и условились продолжить деловые контакты на регулярной основе.
Иностранные гости приняли участие в XVI Евразийском экономическом форуме молодёжи и Международном дипломатическом форуме – авторитетных площадках, объединяющих молодых исследователей, представителей бизнеса и экспертного сообщества. В рамках дискуссий были затронуты актуальные проблемы и тенденции международных отношений, глобальной экономики, евразийской интеграции, а также развития молодёжного предпринимательства.
На Широкореченском военно-мемориальном комплексе в знак уважения и памяти о подвиге Героев Великой Отечественной войны состоялась традиционная для подобных визитов в российские города торжественно-траурная церемония возложения цветов к Вечному огню.
В целях ознакомления с культурно-историческим наследием делегации предложили ознакомиться с музеем «Камнерезный Дом Алексея Антонова», Домом Севастьянова и музейным комплексом военной и гражданской техники Верхней Пышмы. Дипломаты также осмотрели спортивный квартал «Архангел Михаил» и основные объекты его инфраструктуры, в том числе зал нового поколения «RRC Gym», который был признан лучшим тренировочным комплексом страны.
По итогам рабочего визита участники высоко оценили индустриальные, образовательные и инвестиционные возможности региона, его открытость к сотрудничеству и благоприятные условия для развития партнёрства. Иностранные делегаты выразили заинтересованность и предложили конкретные шаги по расширению деловых контактов и проработке совместных инициатив.
Департамент государственного протокола выражает искреннюю признательность руководству и коллективу Правительства Свердловской области за конструктивное и плодотворное взаимодействие.

Генеральная прокуратура Российской Федерации дала старт Международному молодежному конкурсу социальной антикоррупционной рекламы «Вместе против коррупции!». Если вам от 10 до 25 лет и вы неравнодушны к честному будущему, этот конкурс — ваш шанс заявить о своей позиции через творчество.
Конкурс проводится в двух возрастных группах:
🔹 Младшая группа: 10–17 лет
🔹 Старшая группа: 18–25 лет
Участники могут выбрать одно из трех направлений:
1.🎨 Лучший плакат
2.✏️ Лучший рисунок

💬 تُفيد وزارة خارجية روسيا بأنه تم ارسال مذكرة إلى جميع البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدة، وكذلك إلى ممثليات المنظمات الدولية، تتضمن ما يلي:

ونُذكّر بتسلسل تطور الأحداث:
في 4 مايو 2026، وخلال قمة «المجتمع السياسي الأوروبي» في يريفان، أدلى رئيس نظام كييف زيلينسكي، بتصريحات عدوانية وتهديدية، عبّر فيها عن نيته تقويض الاحتفال المقدس بعيد النصر في موسكو عبر أعمال إرهابية. وقد حضر ممثلون عن بعض دول الاتحاد الأوروبي هذا الحدث، دون أن يعمد أيّ منهم إلى لجم هذه التصريحات.
وفي اليوم نفسه، أصدرت وزارة الدفاع في روسيا تحذيرًا جاء ردًا على النوايا العدوانية التي عبّر عنها زيلينسكي، واكد أنه صدر تحديدًا في إطار إجراء ردّي.
وإذا كانت بعض دول الاتحاد الأوروبي تعتقد أنه يمكنها «التغاضي» عن هذه التهديدات العلنية أو «طمسها»، فإنها مخطئة أشدّ الخطأ.
إننا على دراية تامة بموقف ما يُسمّى بالأقلية الغربية الجماعية من يوم 9 مايو؛ إذ تعمل بشكل منهجي على تدمير الإرث التذكاري السوفيتي، ونبش رفات الجنود السوفيت، وإعادة كتابة التاريخ وتشويهه. وهي، من خلال تسليح أوكرانيا، تُعد شريكًا في المخططات الإجرامية لنظام كييف.
غير أنه، في هذه الحالة، ينبغي ألا يغيب عنها غريزة الحفاظ على الذات.
إننا لا ننطلق من موقف عدواني، بل من موقف الرد الحتمي على العدوان.
☝️ وعلى هذا النحو تحديدًا ينبغي فهم بيان وزارة الدفاع في روسيا الصادر في 4 مايو، وكذلك خطواتنا اللاحقة. ولا ينبغي تجاهله، بل يجب التعامل معه بأقصى درجات الجدية.

وتدعو وزارة خارجية روسيا بإلحاح سلطات دولتكم / قيادة منظمتكم إلى التعامل مع هذا البيان بأقصى درجات المسؤولية، واتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لضمان الإجلاء المسبق لموظفي البعثات الدبلوماسية وغيرها من الممثليات، وكذلك المواطنين، من مدينة كييف، وذلك نظرًا لحتمية قيام القوات المسلحة للاتحاد الروسي بتوجيه ضربة ردّية إلى كييف، بما في ذلك إلى مراكز اتخاذ القرار، في حال إقدام نظام كييف على تنفيذ مخططاته الإجرامية ذات الطابع الإرهابي خلال أيام الاحتفال بعيد النصر العظيم».
كما تقوم البعثات الدبلوماسية الروسية في الخارج بإبلاغ دول الاعتماد والمنظمات الدولية بمضمون هذا البيان.
