В ходе беседы состоялся углубленный обмен мнениями о развитии ситуации в Сирии и вокруг нее в контексте роста региональной напряженности. Подробно рассмотрена проблематика продвижения политического урегулирования в САР. Были также затронуты вопросы, касающиеся гуманитарного положения в Сирии и перспектив ее постконфликтного восстановления.

В международном детском лагере "Артек" проводится конкурс «Школа юного дипломата в Артеке».

🇷🇺🇧🇭 Russia's President Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, who arrived in Russia on an official visit.

The agenda included the current state of trade, economic, energy and humanitarian ties between Russia and Bahrain and the prospects for their expansion, as well as current international issues, including the Middle East, in view of Bahrain’s chairmanship of the Arab League.

💬 Vladimir Putin: Next year, we will mark 35 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. Over these years, we have made significant progress in building relations between our states. Our foreign ministries maintain regular contacts, and we take similar approaches on many issues on the international agenda.

Just recently, a week ago, you chaired the Arab League summit. I am certainly interested in hearing your opinion on the situation in the Middle East and the details of the corresponding discussion at the summit.

📈 Trade between Russia and Bahrain is at an early stage, but the trends are positive. However, the situation with investment is better: there are about 30 large projects underway, with a total worth of around $500 million.

At the same time, there is thriving cultural cooperation between our countries. This year, we will host Bahrain Days in Russia, and next year, as far as I know, our colleagues have agreed to hold Russian Seasons in your country.

Other humanitarian contacts are also expanding, primarily in education and science. They have great potential as well.

В ходе беседы обсуждался комплекс вопросов поступательного развития традиционно дружественных российско-тунисских отношений, включая углубление политического диалога и наращивание торгово-экономического и гуманитарного сотрудничества.

Т.Бен Салему был вручен нагрудный знак «За взаимодействие» МИД России, которым он награжден за значительный личный вклад в укрепление российско-тунисских связей.

💬 This June 6, we celebrate the 225th birthday of Alexander Pushkin, the great Russian poet. The UN Russian Language Day is observed on the same day.

Russian culture and science created their universally acclaimed masterpieces in the language which served as the mother tongue for Alexander Pushkin and Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky and Ivan Turgenev. The role the Russian language plays in terms of enabling people of various ethnic backgrounds to communicate internationally can hardly be underestimated. Today, over 250 million people speak this language around the world.

The fact that various multilateral structures have designated Russian as their official or working language demonstrates just how relevant it is in today’s world. Russian Language Day has been listed in the UN’s International Days and Weeks calendar as part of the programme to promote multilingualism and cultural diversity.

The Russian language’s broad dissemination around the world, as well as our common past and far-reaching economic and people-to-people ties have come together to create a solid foundation for reinforcing integration processes across the Eurasian space. <...>

🤝 I am convinced that marking Russian Language Day, which is timed to coincide with the jubilee of our great poet, helps promote international cultural and educational cooperation and maintain an atmosphere of friendship and trust among nations.

✍️ #OnThisDay in 1799 the greatest poet, writer, playwright, historian, publicist, creator of the modern Russian literary language Alexander Pushkin was born.

🇷🇺 On June 6, 2011, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree on the annual celebration of Russian Language Day in order to “preserve, support and develop the Russian language as a national treasure of the peoples of the Russian Federation, a tool of international communication and an integral part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of world civilization”.

Russian is one of the most popular languages in the world. It is spoken by about 146 million citizens of the Russian Federation and 109 million abroad.

🇷🇺🇸🇻 On June 7, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Vice President of El Salvador Felix Ulloa Garay on the sidelines of the 27th St Petersburg International Economic Forum (#SPIEF2024).

Various aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, with an emphasis on promoting political dialogue and cooperation in international affairs. Further steps to develop cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technological, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

🇷🇺🇸🇩 On June 7, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of the Sudan Malik Agar on the sidelines of the 27th St Petersburg International Economic Forum (#SPIEF2024)

The conversation focused on the developments in Sudan with an emphasis on the tasks to settle the ongoing military and political crisis in the country as soon as possible.

☝️ Sergey Lavrov stressed the urgent need to take immediate steps to end hostilities and intensify political and diplomatic efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in Sudan. Russia’s principled position in support of the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of the Sudan was reaffirmed.

Some practical issues of further strengthening the traditionally friendly Russian-Sudanese relations were also discussed.
