📅 10 ноября представители Правительства Сирийской Арабской Республики (САР) официально проинформировали руководство Управления по координации гуманитарных вопросов (УКГВ ООН) о своём суверенном решении продлить ещё на три месяца, до 13 февраля 2024 года, разрешение на использование двух КПП на границе с Турцией – «Баб ас-Салям» и «Ар-Раи», – для доставки помощи в неподконтрольные Дамаску районы.
Сирийские власти инициативно и добровольно одобряют данную чрезвычайную меру, в первую очередь, для обеспечения оперативного и широкого доступа ко всем нуждающимся и пострадавшим в результате масштабного землетрясения 6 февраля, а также эффективного преодоления разрушительных последствий стихийного бедствия.
❗️ Тем не менее, несмотря на все усилия Дамаска, сирийцы до сих пор не получают от ООН необходимой помощи, которая должна быть согласована с властями страны и соответствовать нормам международного гуманитарного права.

США и ЕС продолжают «душить» экономику САР незаконными односторонними санкциями, которые запрещают к ввозу в страну в качестве товаров «двойного назначения» стройматериалы и генераторы, лекарства и медицинское оборудование, а также детские смеси и зубную пасту.
В то же время Вашингтон и его союзники, незаконно оккупирующие территории на северо-востоке и юге Сирии, участвуют в расхищении и контрабанде нефти и зерна, лишая сирийское население хлеба и энергоресурсов.
☝️ Несколько лет назад на фоне пандемии COVID-19 и в развитие призыва Генсекретаря ООН о смягчении рестрикций ООН начала подготовку специального доклада о влиянии санкций на международную гуманитарную деятельность в САР. Отчёт, однако, до сих пор не опубликован, несмотря на регулярные запросы целого ряда стран-членов Организации, включая представителей Сирии.
Факт такого «заматывания» доклада с очевидным и понятным содержанием говорит сам за себя.

💬 Тем, кто занимается фальсификацией истории, подлинное искусство, что называется, кость в горле. Оно мешает этим людям искажать прошлое в угоду нынешним, своим идеологическим или, как мы часто видим, гендерным конструкциям, мешает стравливать людей.
При этом всё, что не укладывается в их исторические подделки, просто вычёркивается. Замалчиваются целые пласты истории, искусства Западной Европы, Азии, Африки, Латинской Америки, как будто и не было ничего, а нашу культуру вообще последнее время пытаются отменять. Я говорю именно «пытаются», потому что по определению, мы понимаем, это невозможно.

💬 Именно культура и спорт являются теми проводниками взаимопонимания, без которых прекратить конфликты очень сложно, а иногда просто невозможно.
Только деятели культуры, которые думают о будущем, и наводят мосты. Это миссия культуры, так же как, кстати говоря, и миссия спорта. А те, кто пренебрегают этим или хотят перекрыть и сжечь последние мосты, – это люди недалёкие и некультурные.

It has been and remains a language of inter-ethnic communication for hundreds of millions of people around the world.

Умелые провокаторы, подготовленные американскими и европейскими инструкторами, под привлекательными лозунгами «лучшей европейской» жизни, безвизовых поездок в страны ЕС, демократии, свободы слова, прав человека и борьбы с коррупцией вывели толпы людей на уличные протесты. <...>
В январе-феврале 2014 года под западным руководством искусственно стимулировавшиеся беспорядки переросли в вооружённый мятеж и завершились антиконституционным государственным переворотом, который был отвергнут жителями многих регионов страны.
Напомню, что триггером ноябрьских событий десятилетней давности послужило решение правительства отложить планировавшееся подписание Соглашения об ассоциации с ЕС.
☝️Подчеркну: речь шла не об отказе от ассоциации, а об отсрочке подписания. Дело в том, что у Киева имелись обязательства в рамках зоны свободной торговли СНГ, и новые обязательства, которые он собирался взять на себя по ассоциации с ЕС, вступали в определенное противоречие с этим режимом. <...>

💬 On 21 November 2013, ten years ago, the Maidan protests began in Kiev, leading to a bloody coup d’état that had tragic consequences for Ukraine, as well as for regional and global stability. Remarkably, the overtly nationalistic mass riots that preceded this event were held under the slogans of European values, freedom and democracy.
The Maidan rally was a pretext for creating the conflict. Russia has always tried to resolve it by political means. The West, however, as it turned out, always sought to provoke an escalation.
On 14 January 2014, Jose Manuel Barroso, then President of the European Commission, said:
“It was on the streets of Kiev we have seen Europe at its most popular: a beacon of hope and values, a guarantee of human rights and liberties. Around diplomatic tables, we have seen Europe at its best: united in defending Ukrainian citizens' dignity and opinions; ready to support their sovereign right to decide on their own destiny, and to improve their chances of a better, more prosperous and more democratic future”.
A guarantee of human rights, seriously?
⚠️European leaders said nothing when the Ukrainian government unleashed a real war against the eastern part of its country in 2014. Ukrainian armed forces have been shelling Donbass all these years. An inhumane socio-economic and transport blockade was imposed on its inhabitants, bringing the region to the brink of survival. This destructive line of Kiev was supported by the United States and its NATO allies.
In early 2022, the situation deteriorated sharply. The population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics faced a real threat of direct physical annihilation by the authorities in Kiev.
❗️Russia had no choice but to recognise the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on 21 February 2022 and to launch a special military operation on 24 February 2022 to protect Donbass, demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, and eliminate threats to Russian security.

The Maidan rally was a pretext for creating the conflict. Russia has always tried to resolve it by political means. The West, however, as it turned out, always sought to provoke an escalation.
On 14 January 2014, Jose Manuel Barroso, then President of the European Commission, said:
“It was on the streets of Kiev we have seen Europe at its most popular: a beacon of hope and values, a guarantee of human rights and liberties. Around diplomatic tables, we have seen Europe at its best: united in defending Ukrainian citizens' dignity and opinions; ready to support their sovereign right to decide on their own destiny, and to improve their chances of a better, more prosperous and more democratic future”.
A guarantee of human rights, seriously?
⚠️European leaders said nothing when the Ukrainian government unleashed a real war against the eastern part of its country in 2014. Ukrainian armed forces have been shelling Donbass all these years. An inhumane socio-economic and transport blockade was imposed on its inhabitants, bringing the region to the brink of survival. This destructive line of Kiev was supported by the United States and its NATO allies.
In early 2022, the situation deteriorated sharply. The population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics faced a real threat of direct physical annihilation by the authorities in Kiev.
❗️Russia had no choice but to recognise the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on 21 February 2022 and to launch a special military operation on 24 February 2022 to protect Donbass, demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, and eliminate threats to Russian security.
