In English, you add an "S" to the third person singular (he, she, it), except for a few irregular verbs such as "to be".
In Russian, you will come face to face with conjugations of two major Russian verb families.
For convenience, I shall call the two groups of verb conjugations the '-e' conjugation and the '-и' conjugation.
'-e' conjugation: verbs with infinitive ending in '-ать'.
'-и' conjugation: verbs with infinitive ending in 'ить', with exceptions for several verbs ending in '-еть' and 3 verbs ending in '-ать' (слышать, держать, & дышать).
We look at the '-e' verb conjugation in this post.
To conjugate a Russian verb in the '-e' conjugation, you'd usually drop the "-ать" ending in the infinitive verb, and replace it with one of the six specific endings to the word stem.
A little more practice and you will finally get it.
Russian Prepositions: От - К ;-) к => to grandmother
от => from grandomther
Пасха (Easter) in Russia and Easter in are not equal:

there is no Easter bunny and whole Easter basket for kids in Russia.
Easter in Russia is not about hiding eggs or giving out candy-filled baskets.
Russian Easter boils down to stopping at church at some point of the day, dyeing eggs, baking куличи and getting together with family for a meal.
Lunar calendar is used to determine the exact date. Russian Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the spring full moon. This year, spring fool moon is on Tuesday, April 15th. That means Russian Easter will be celebrated on April 20th.

How to connect each letter of the Russian Cursive alphabet.

In more details: https://pen4pals.com/en/russian-cursive-handwriting-worksheets-free-download-pdf
Russians do not use block letters when writing by hand. You must learn to read and write script. Because all of you will meet the situation when at some websites, journals or newspapers you will need the text written with typed cursive. And you need to be able to recognize it. Because sometimes it can be really confusing. Some letters look like English ones for example Russian Т - looks like English M in cursive. So you can read it wrong if you don't know how to read it. Also for those people who would like to increase their speed of writing I recommend to learn how to write in Russian with the cursive letters because it really will help you to save time. But I know that some people just do not write at all. They use just tablets, computers, cell phones and then for you it's not necessary but at least you need to be able to read in Russian!

Maybe in one day you will able to read medical handwriting: ;-)

"i am studying russian but, i do not YET speak russian, ..

i lived in moscow & studied at the pushkin institute,

i have bought a lot of russian volumes, to help me in my studies, ... some good, some not so good,

this looks to be one of the good ones, .. the format is sequentially set up, ... each building upon what has gone before, AND, importantly, the there are stress marks to help in pronunciation, ... with russian, this is extremely important.

at the moment, this volume holds an honored position on my bookshelf, i anticipate many referrals to this volume, in the years to come, ..
