आज की दवा: Pantoprazole

Pantoprazole एक medicine है जो पेट में बनने वाले excess acid को कम करती है।
यह Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) class की drug है।
इसका इस्तेमाल acidity, heartburn, GERD और acid-related gastric problems में किया जाता है।
यह stomach की H⁺/K⁺ ATPase proton pump को inhibit करके acid secretion कम करती है।
इसे अक्सर खाने से पहले, खासकर सुबह लेने की सलाह दी जाती है।
यह tablet और injection जैसे dosage forms में उपलब्ध होती है।
इसके common side effects में headache, nausea, abdominal discomfort और diarrhoea हो सकते हैं।
इसे लंबे समय तक बिना medical advice के लगातार लेना उचित नहीं है।
अगर acidity बार-बार हो रही है, तो केवल medicine लेने के बजाय underlying cause की जांच जरूरी हो सकती है।
याद रखें: Pantoprazole हर तरह के पेट दर्द की दवा नहीं है—सही indication में ही इसका इस्तेमाल होना चाहिए।
