πŸ“š 2027 Black Excellence Award (Deadline: March 15, 2027)

πŸ€” Description:
2027 Black Excellence Award (Deadline: March 15, 2027)
Who Can Apply:

The Black Excellence Award recognizes African-American high school seniors whose achievements and character extend beyond the classroom.
Pursuing higher education comes at no small expense, with tuition, books, materials, and other fees piling up. The higher costs climb, the less accessible college education becomes and the harder it is for students to pursue their fields of interest.
The scholarship seeks to support well-rounded students who demonstrate academic excellence while making meaningful contributions to their schools and communities.
Any Black/African-American high school senior from Broward County, Florida, who has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have nonprofit or volunteering experience and if they participate in at least one sport. The scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate leadership, strong character, and active involvement in school and their community. Financial need will also be considered.

Submission: To apply, tell us what makes you well-rounded and how you have demonstrated leadership within your school and community. You may highlight experiences in academics, service, extracurricular activities, or athletics that have shaped your character and goals.
Deadline: March 15, 2027
Amount: $1,000

πŸ“š Kitchen to Campus Scholarship (Deadline: December 28, 2026)

πŸ€” Description:
Kitchen to Campus Scholarship (Deadline: December 28, 2026)
Who Can Apply:

Growing up in a family restaurant can teach you a lot; hard work, responsibility, resilience, and probably a few things you wouldn’t learn anywhere else. But restaurant life can also mean long hours, late nights, and sacrificing time for school, friends, and extracurriculars.
As a former restaurant kid myself, I was fortunate that my family worked hard to give me the time and freedom to focus on school and enjoy the experiences that came with it. The Kitchen to Campus Scholarship is my way of paying that opportunity forward to another restaurant kid.
This scholarship aims to support students who grew up in the family restaurant business as they pursue higher education.
Any high school senior, undergraduate, or trade school student may apply for this scholarship opportunity if their family owns or owned a restaurant and if they worked there for at least one year.

Submission: To apply, tell us something you learned from working in your family’s restaurant, what you would do with $100 and a free Saturday, and one dish you would add to your family’s menu. Additionally, link to your family restaurant’s website, Yelp page, or Google Maps listing.
Deadline: December 28, 2026
Amount: $3,000
