[Week 2] What is love?
If there is true love, why do some relationships tick away like a time bomb while some lifelong relationships click?
Oftentimes, the people that we love the most are the ones who cause us the most pain. Must being in love be so challenging? 😩
Join us and Sis Siew Fong, a family lawyer, as we explore this feeling commonly known as “love” through a sharing and Q&A afterwards!

[Week 3] The Art of Aimlessness
Sometimes, life can throw at us unexpected changes that force us to re-evaluate our goals, aspirations, and identities, making us feel lost at times. But what if this re-evaluation is a good thing?
Join us this session to learn what the Buddhist teaching of Aimlessness teaches us about being adaptable with our goals and identity—the skill to hold on to them with the right amount of tenacity, so that we continue to work towards it with grit; but when the need arises to put some old aspirations down, and pick new ones up, and to re-route, we are able to do so in a grounded, decisive, and fearless manner.
Find out how, in approaching our goals with an attitude of aimlessness, we prepare ourselves for an easier journey ahead where happiness can be found in every moment, not just at the destination.

[Week 4] Hungry Ghosts & the Greedy Mind
Ghost Month: scary stories 🫣, paper offerings, and that annual reminder not to swim at night . But beyond loud ceremonies and abundant food offerings 🍱, what does Buddhism teach about the seventh lunar month?
We will unpack the practices, rituals, and ideas behind the Hungry Ghost Festival—from how a monk saved his mother to the cause for being hungry ghosts, greed, and generosity.
Along the way, we’ll explore the question: are hungry ghosts only out there… or do we sometimes carry a little hungry ghost within ourselves?🤔
Join us for stories, discussions, and practical takeaways for everyday life. 👻✨

[Week 5] I am ____ .
Who am I, really?
I am me, myself, and I… or am I not? 🤯
Where does this sense of ‘I’ come from? Are we who we think we are, or are we someone other than ourselves?
Join us for a thought provoking session on the buddhist concept of Not Self in a simple and interactive way, and see whether we truly exist inherently or… maybe not exist at all? Is there a permanent higher self out there or does life end when the body dies? (Hint: The answer is none of the above 🫣).
Whether you are Buddhist or not, come down for a time of reflection on what makes you, you and see from another perspective the way you understand yourself, your relationships and experiences, as well as the way you view and interact with the world and its challenges. 🌎✨
‘Form is emptiness and emptiness is form.
Form is not other than emptiness, emptiness is not other than form.’
