Blue Light Yokohama (ブルー・ライト・ヨコハマ) (1968) - Ayumi Ishida (いしだあゆみ). This song is Ayumi Ishida's 26th single, released on 25 December, 1968 under the label Nippon Columbia and composed by Kyohei Tsutsumi (筒美京平).

This song is Ayumi-san's biggest hit. In this video, Ayumi-san is singing "Blue Light Yokohama" in 20th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen on 31 December, 1969. Here is also Ayumi Ishida's first appearance. It has been sung at NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen three times, in 1969 (this video), 1973 and in 1993.

This song is not about Yokohama actually but it's about how a girl feels to her boyfriend. This is the first song that mentions Yokohama that I heard. One of the best Shōwa era songs from the 1960s. Her nasal voice is perfect for this song.

Whatever you do in the economy, never ruin the market.
"You are nicest imperialist I've met", said Su-Lee (Pik-Sen Lim) to Mr. Brown (Barry Evans) in episode 13 of season 1 of Mind Your Language.
Happy World Oceans Day, 8 June, 2024. 2024 Theme: "Awaken New Depths". This theme implies the fact that we don't really know what is actually in the sea, there are still many mysteries, there are still many parts that have not been explored.

Always protect our seas, it is the life source for us, all organisms on Earth, including humans. Protecting the ocean means protecting life because all life on Earth comes from the ocean.

Eugenics, the art of "why my racial skin color is better than yours". A highly controversial subject but it's different than scientific racism. Ethically, it might seem as wrong but I agree with some points of eugenics like to improve the genetic quality, so far it's not political.
"If you want the present to be different from the past, study the past."

People who say that LGBT is a western product or agenda actually don't know the history of LGBT. They don't know that LGBT people have existed throughout history and in various parts of the world, including small islands in the Pacific.

We, LGBT people, always exist and will always exist. We are not a new phenomenon. People may be able to disagree with LGBT but they cannot not accept the existence of LGBT people.
Happy World Refugee Day, 20 June, 2024. 2024 Theme: "For a World Where Refugees Are Welcomed". This theme implies that we need to always maintain solidarity with refugees. It is more than just finding a solution to their plight but also recognizing their rights.

Solidarity with the refugees is a kindness. Their life is not easy and unstable. We can all become refugees if our situation in our country forces us to leave our country. Be grateful if we are not like that.

I personally hope that more countries will become parties to the 1951 United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol. This is so that there is awareness and responsibility for refugees.
