Homosexuality and Pederasty in the Ancient and Pagan Worldview 2/3 - Germans and Scandinavians

https://telegra.ph/Homosexuality-and-Pederasty-in-the-Ancient-and-Pagan-Worldview-23---Germans-and-Scandinavians-11-25

"penetrating another man was seen as something so terribly violating as to constitute actual injury to their body and soul and certainly not something one would engage in with friends or loved ones, it being relegated to hated enemies at best. We can therefore consider such things in the same category as rape and killings: actions which were harshly known to our forefathers against enemies but which were not tolerated within the bounds of the community. One does not trust the man who desires to kill and rape his neighbours and our ancestors would have exiled as outlaws anyone who seemed to have this hostile desire. .."

Homosexuality and Pederasty in the Ancient and Pagan Worldview 3/3 - Rome and its Orgies

https://telegra.ph/Homosexuality-and-Pederasty-in-the-Ancient-and-Pagan-Worldview-33---Rome-and-its-Orgies-11-25

"For decades, Ancient Rome has been associated in the popular imagination with orgies, a kind of excuse for all kinds of shortcomings and excesses. Indeed, the very first thing most people think of when they hear the words "Ancient Rome" are Roman orgies, a meticulously fabricated image by our dear "American" friends in Hollywood..."

Forwarded from Aryanism
The Gregorian new year is a magical turn over because it is observed by so many people, and it is engrained in a society you are affected by. There is a lot of emotion put into the Gregorian calendar, and unless and until that changes on a large scale, it will have an affect on you. If you were to operated under a different calendar system, then there would be a magical turn over for the new year of that calendar as well (or instead, depending on if it were a replacement or simply an additional observance).

Warriordom, Honor and Courage

For most of recorded history, and even entering into the modern day, it has been considered a great honor for a family to have one of their sons serving in war, or in the military in general. Even today quite a few families put the photographs of their service member children or forebears on display for everyone to see who enters their home. Just as it is today, in the ancient world it was a great honor for a member of one’s family, tribe, or clan to serve with distinction in some sort of armed conflict.

War and conflict are considered paramount to the progression of the cycles. There are Gods who are war deities; they guide the warriors in battle and grant them strength and determination to endure the hardships which armed conflict forces men through.
There are many different roles people must fulfill in any society to make it safe and complete, but few are as honorable and revered as that of the men who decide to take up arms against any and all who would harm their way of life, their home, or their friends and family.

Some schools of thought believe that the ultimate transformation happens to men who are cast into war, where they will experience events that will make them into the best they could possibly be, forging them into men of iron. For the people who follow this philosophy, espoused by great thinkers like Ernst Jünger, there is no higher calling and no greater honor than to be a man at arms, fighting for what he believes in.

“My son, take this musket and never disgrace it: for remember, I had rather all my sons should fill one honorable grave than that one of them should turn his back to save his life. Go, and remember, too, that while the door of my cabin is open to brave men, it is eternally shut against cowards.”

Review of 'Teutonic Religion' by Kveldulf Gundarsson

By Rubezahl of the Sun Riders

'This is a very good book and should be read directly after going through the Germanic Reading list. The book is well written and an effective way of translating your knowledge of Germanic theology into active practice. However, there are a few criticisms I am going to post about this work in particular. These criticisms should not detract from the whole of the book since they are very isolated and small.

1. He claims that Snorri Sturluson was Christian. This is false and he does not back this claim up with anything.

2. Chapter 10, section: "Where Monsters Lurk" is out of place and is political nonsense.

3. Chapter 12, section: "The Oath Ring" unfortunately does not go heavily into the use of swearing upon a ring. Likewise it does not include practical application. The rest of this chapter is very good.'
'Growth of the Soil'
by Knut Hamsun

"Here is the story: a man goes into the forest, starts a farm, marries a woman, and has a bunch of kids. This simple and unassuming novel is by far one the greatest that historical fiction has to offer. Hamsun offers a saga of struggle and sacrifice. The book fully deserves the Nobel prize it received in 1920 and likewise deserves to be read by those who have yet to witness its vivid symbolism. " - Rubezahl

The essential elements of this novel are expressed in the words of the English translator W.W. Worster in his footnote in December 1920: 'It is the life story of a man in the wilds, the genesis and gradual development of a homestead, the unit of humanity, in the unfilled, uncleared tracts that still remain in the Norwegian Highlands. It is an epic of earth; the history of a microcosm. Its dominant note is one of patient strength and simplicity; the mainstay of its working is the tacit, stern, yet loving alliance between Nature and the Man who faces her himself, trusting to himself and her for the physical means of life, and the spiritual contentment with life which she must grant if he be worthy. . .The story is epic in its magnitude, in its calm, steady progress and unhurrying rhythm, in its vast and intimate humanity. The author looks upon his characters with a great, all-tolerant sympathy, aloof yet kindly, as a god.'

I also own a hardcover copy of this book and I would recommend it to anyone who follows this channel. I was reminded of this classic book from Norway by the song linked earlier.

https://telegra.ph/What-is-Paganism-and-what-does-it-mean-to-be-a-pagan-12-22

Our first article. Below are the two must-read paragraphs for TL;DR-ers. For the rest, feel free to click on the link and enjoy the full thing.

-The Sun Riders

"Modernism has given us many definitions of the word ‘paganism’, some entirely wrong. What the religion itself contains has been portrayed even more inaccurately, giving it shamanistic, satanic or occultic themes, portraying it as ‘mere’ nature worship, ‘mere’ witchcraft, or more commonly, ‘merely’ a way for the supposedly stupid and primitive man to explain the world around him. The aforementioned have at best very little to do with Traditional European Paganism."

[...]

"Our ancestors' religion was not sectarian, thus there was no need to divide the world in a "those of my sect vs those not of my sect". This has given modernists cause to think that paganism was a tolerant religion. I do not believe this to be the case, seeing how paganism is an ethnic religion. Your tribe or nation was your sect. The ancients divided the world by ethnic ethos which is why we can see historians like Tacitus not giving Germanic paganism a name but calling it "the religion of the Germanic people." Being of a Germanic tribe automatically meant you worshiped Óðinn, Týr, Freyja and so on, or local variants of those deities. The question 'what is your religion?' was not asked in pre-Christian times. One needed only to state his ethnic origin, and the deities he believed in were conveyed through that."
Corrgend, the Irish Prometheus

https://taliesinsmap.blogspot.com/2021/01/corrgend-irish-prometheus.html?m=1

Irish is one of the only branches that retains a version of the “Prometheus” myth in relatively similar form to the Greek.

From analyzing the Irish, Greek and Vedic versions of this myth we can come to see what its original form may have been.

In doing so we find that the Greek version, so influential on Western culture, may be a misrepresentation of the myth’s original theological meaning.
