These roles are part of our project titled "From Loss to Value Creation (L2V): Reducing Food Loss through Green Cold Storage Solutions in Kenya." The project aims to reduce food loss through establishment of scalable cold storage solutions in close proximity to smallholder farmers in Kenya who face a myriad of challenges in production and marketing of their produce. Currently, post-harvest losses result in reduced incomes for farmers and higher prices for consumers.

In collaboration with commercial partners and other stakeholders in the target areas, DCA seeks to develop an innovative approach to ensure that smallholder farmers engaged in vegetable production for export and local consumption have access to affordable cooling and cold infrastructure. This initiative will foster an environment that promotes and upholds responsible business conduct.

The project will be implemented in Nyandarua and Nakuru Counties, spanning from July 2023 to December 2027. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to a sustainable solution that directly impacts farmers' livelihoods and addresses food loss in Kenya.
