📌 Prevention — An Important Factor in Youth Safety
On September 10, 2026, a preventive awareness event dedicated to the prevention of drug abuse, terrorism, and extremism among young people was held at Inha University in Tashkent for first-year students.
The event was attended by officers from the Mirzo Ulugbek District Internal Affairs Department: Lieutenant Colonel S.A. Tajidinov, an officer of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Internal Affairs Department; Major Molashxiya Tamara Yuryevna, Senior Inspector of the Group for Organizing Prevention among Minors and Youth; and Senior Lieutenant Kurbanova Zarina Abdumuminovna, Inspector of the Group for Organizing Prevention among Minors and Youth.
The event was conducted in the form of an open dialogue. The specialists discussed with students the real risks associated with drug use, as well as the consequences of the spread of ideas related to terrorism and extremism. Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions of interest, and received detailed answers from the specialists.
Preventive video materials highlighting the activities of internal affairs officers in identifying drug-related crimes, apprehending and exposing individuals involved in such crimes were also shown. In addition, videos highlighting the negative impact of terrorism and extremism on human life and society were presented.
🤝 The meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere. Students showed great interest in the topics discussed and actively engaged in dialogue with the specialists.

Inha University in Tashkent has officially joined AWS Academy — an educational programme that enables students to gain practical skills in cloud technologies and modern tools used in the global IT industry.
What does this mean for students?
Students will be able to work with real-world cloud technologies and tools, developing skills that are in demand in today’s job market.
The programme provides additional opportunities to explore artificial intelligence and machine learning — two of the key areas of the modern IT industry.
Students will have access to Cloud Lab, providing a practical environment for working with cloud technologies.
Upon completing the training, students will be able to earn an AWS certificate in addition to their university degree. This provides an important professional advantage when entering the job market, particularly when applying to companies that use AWS technologies and already work with Amazon Web Services.

Inha University in Tashkent strengthens cooperation with INHA University in Korea 🇰🇷
As part of a business trip to the Republic of Korea, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov and Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Bobur Abdullaev held a meeting with administration of INHA University in Korea.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of Inha University in Tashkent and the expansion of cooperation with INHA University in South Korea.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the signing of a new five-year Royalty Agreement between the two universities.
Under the agreement, the following initiatives are planned:
▫️ regularly updating academic programs in line with modern requirements;
▫️ expanding academic mobility for students and faculty members;
▫️ launching joint master’s programs in engineering;
▫️ developing research activities and strengthening the university’s research capacity;
▫️ integrating the information systems of the two universities;
▫️ expanding opportunities for PhD programs and research internships for faculty members;
▫️ increasing the number of student places available for participation in the Summer School;
▫️ strengthening the involvement of INHA University in Korea in the development of the Fergana campus.
The new agreement creates additional opportunities to improve the quality of education, advance research, and expand international academic opportunities for students and faculty members.
The parties also agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen the academic and research capacity of Inha University in Tashkent and develop a long-term partnership.
