In the Ethico-Religious Concepts in the Qur'án Toshihiko Izutsu analyzes the guiding spirit of the Islamic moral code, the basic ethical relationship of man to God. Izutsu asserts that, according to the Qur'anic conception, God is of an ethical nature and acts upon man in an ethical way. The resulting implications for man are enormous, requiring devotion not merely to God but to living one's life ethically. Izutsu shows that for the Qur'an our ethical response to God's actions is religion itself; it is at the same time both ethics and religion. 🔸چکیده

یکی از مؤثرترین دانشمندان در زمینه معناشناسی قرآن، توشی هیکو ایزوتسو محقّق ژاپنی در کتاب «مفاهیم اخلاقی ـ دینی در قرآن مجید» است. این کتاب از سه بخش کلّی در قالب یک پیشگفتار، 11 فصل و یک خاتمه تشکیل شده است. این نوشتار با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی به بررسی کتاب می‌پردازد. مطابق نظر این کتاب، مفاهیم اخلاقی ـ دینی قرآن دو دسته‌اند: دستة اوّل، تقابل‌های اخلاقی که قرآن به تأیید یا تصحیح آنها و یا مخالفت با آنها می‌پردازد؛ از جمله تصوّر بدبینانة زندگی خاکی، همبستگی قومی و قبیله‌ای و فضیلت‌های کهن در میان اعراب. دستة دوم، مفاهیم عمدة اخلاقی که هر یک از آنها بسیاری از واژه‌های مهمّ اخلاقی را در بر می‌گیرند و از این قرارند: کفر، نفاق، ایمان، خوب و بد. تأکید مؤلّف در این کتاب، توجّه تام به قرآن است، چنان‌که «قرآن خود سخن گوید و مفاهیم خود را تفسیر و تعبیر کند». از این رو، بسیار به روابط میان واژه‌ها توجّه داشته است و هر یک از مفاهیم با کمک واژه‌های متضاد و مترادف توضیح داده می‌شوند. روش او در این کتاب، از چند شاخصه برخوردار است: بیان نظریّه‌‌های مختلف، ارائة نظریّه‌‌های جدید، ارجاع فراوان به آیات قرآن، پرهیز از شتابزدگی و توجّه به جنبه‌های مختلف، اعتقاد به یکپارچگی و اخلاقی بودن مباحث قرآن، اعتقاد به نسبیّت در اخلاق، پیروی از سیر منطقی در ارائة مفاهیم و نیز اعتقاد به نسبیّت زبانی و متن‌گرایی. از جمله مزایای این اثر عبارت است از: دسته‌بندی کاملاً مناسب، سعی در استخراج معانی واژه‌ها از خود قرآن و استفاده از منابع گوناگون در تدوین کتاب است. از جمله کاستی‌های آن نیز عبارتند از: وجود برخی اشتباه‌ در کتاب، مانند اشتباه در ذکر آیات قرآن، استفاده نکردن از منابع شیعی در ذکر مثال‌ها و توجّه نکردن به وجوه گوناگون و معانی متعدّد واژه‌هاست. با این همه، ایزوتسو بی‌طرفانه به ارائة مفاهیم اخلاقی ـ دینی در قرآن پرداخته است و در ارائة نظام مفاهیم اخلاقی ـ دینی در قرآن توفیق فراوان یافته است؛ زیرا اگر دور از اغراق و بزرگنمایی به نظریّة او توجّه گردد، راهی به سوی پژوهش‌های جامع در حوزة معناشناسی اخلاقی قرآن می‌گشاید.

One of the important scientist of the Quran’s Semantics is Toshihiko Izutsu and the books of this era is “Ethics-religious concepts in the Quran”; this book consists of three parts: One preface, eleven chapter and one conclusion. The second category are the main conceptsof ethics that each of them included most ofthe Moralwords which include: ‘atheism’, ‘dissemblance’, ‘Faith’, ‘Goodness’ and ‘vice’. The authorin this book FocusonQuran.So that, “Quranitself says and itselfinterpretitsconcepts”. Therefore, focused on the relationships between words too much, and each of the conceptsExplainedAccording to the antonyms and synonyms words. His methods in this book have several characteristics: elucidationdifferent views, presentationof new theories, many references to the Quran verses, avoid of precipitant and Attention to various aspects, belief in the integrity and morality of Quran topics, Belief in moral relativism, following of logical courseinpresentations,Belief inlinguisticrelativity and Textorientation. The advantagesamong this work are: “suitableCategories”, “Trying toextractwords meanings of Qur’an itself” and “Useofdifferent sources for the Writingbook”.But the shortcomings of this book are: There are errors in the booke.g.Wronginthe verses of Quran mentioned, not referred to the Shi'ite sources in the examples, Lack of attention to various aspectsand Multiplemeaningsof words.Withall,Impartially, Izutsupresented Ethics-religious concepts in the Quran and successful in this sense. Because if Considered his theory whiteout exaggerate and grandiosity, Opens the path to a comprehensive investigation in the field of Quran’ssemantics.

The Imam, the Divine Guide, is the central point around which the Shi'ite religion turns. The power of Shi'ism comes from the actions of the Imam. This title is reserved exclusively for the sucessors of the prophets in their mission. The author shows that from the beginning of Shi'ite Islam until the tenth century, the Imam was primarily a master of knowledge with supernatural powers, not a jurist theologian. The Imam is the threshold through which God and the creatures communicate. He is thus a cosmic necessity, the key and the center of the universal economy of the sacred.

The author presents Shi'ism as a religion founded on double dimensions where the role of the leader remains constantly central: perpetual initiation into divine secrets and continued confrontation with anti-initiation forces. Without esotericism, exotericism loses its meaning. Early Imamism is an esoteric doctrine. Historically, then, at the beginning of esotericism in Islam, we find an initiatory, mystical, and occultist doctrine. This is the first book to systematically explore the immense literature attributed to the Imams themselves in order to recover the authentic original vision. It restores an essential source of esotericism in the world of Islam.

کتاب پیشوای ربانی در تشیع نخستین نوشته دکتر محمدعلی امیرمعزی از مهم‌ترین آثار مهم شیعه‌شناسی در غرب به شمار می‌رود. امیرمعزی در این کتاب با بهره‌گیری از روش پدیدارشناسی به شناخت گوهر و ذات تشیع امامی از طریق مراجعه به آثار اصیل و نخستین امامیه (به طور خاص، کتب روایی) پرداخته است. از نظر وی گوهر تشیع نظریۀ امامت و به طور خاص، تفسیر باطنی از این نظریه است. به نظر وی به دلیل تقیۀ اصحاب امامیه بهترین راه برای رسیدن به اندیشه‌های باطنی امامان، مراجعه به اندیشه‌ها و تعالیم باطنی غالیان است. در این مقاله ضمن گزارشی کوتاه از محتوای این کتاب به نقد و بررسی آن پرداخته‌ایم. در مجموع نظریۀ امیرمعزی در مواردی مانند اثبات باطن‌گرایی امامیه، مبهم است و در برخی موارد نیز شواهد و دلائل او ناکافی‌اند. با این همه، اشکال عمده این اثر یکی دانستن تعالیم ائمه: و غالیان است؛ این ادعا شواهد نقض فراوانی دارد که در این مقاله به آنها اشاره شده است.

✳️ A Criticism of the Theory of "Internal Imamat in Early Shiites"

The book, The Divine Guide in Early Shi'ism, by Dr. Mohammad Ali Amir Mo'ezzi is one important work in the study of Shiism in the West. Employing the method of phenomenology, Amir Mo'ezzi is concerned with the essence of Imamiah Shiism by appeal to the early and original works of Imamiah (in particular, Hadith collections). In his view, the essence of Shiism is the theory of Imamat and in particular, an internal interpretation thereof. He thinks that because of taqiyah in the apostles of Imams the best way to discover the internal thoughts of Imams is to consult the views of Qalis (exaggerationists about Imams). Fundamentally there’s no conflict between the doctrines of Qalis and Imams; what went wrong about Qalis was their revelation of the mysteries of Imams. In this paper after a review of this book, we present criticisms to it. In general, Amir Mo'ezzi's idea in demonstrating Imamiah internalism is not clear, and in some cases there is not enough evidence. The main problem, nonetheless, is the thought that the teachings of Imams and Qalis are the same; there are many pieces of counter-evidence to this view.

در پژوهش حاضر, ویلفرد مادلونگ, مستشرق آلمانی, مسئله جانشینی حضرت محمد(ص) و اتفاقات دوره خلفای راشدین را با استناد به منابع دینی و تاریخی متعدد نقد و ارزیابی کرده است. کتاب با درآمدی در((شرح حال نویسنده)) و ((معرفی کتاب)) آغاز می‌شود. در پیش‌گفتار((جدول نسب‌شناختی)) و ((گاهشمار وقایع تاریخی)) آمده است.

پس از مقدمه مولف, چهار فصل محتوای اصلی کتاب را تشکیل می‌دهد که عبارت‌اند از:
ابوبکر: جانشین رسول خدا(ص) و خلیفه)), ((عمر : امیرالمومنین, شایسته سالاری اسلامی, شورا و امپراتوری عربی)), (( عثمان : خلیفه خدا و فرمانروایی بنی‌عبد شمس)) و ((علی(ع) :واکنش بنی‌هاشم نسبت به خلافت)).

بخش پایانی کتاب شامل((خاتمه)) و ((هفت پیوست)) است۱ :ـ کفن و دفن رسول خدا(ص)۲ ;ـ میراث محمد(ص)۳ ;ـ همسران و فرزندان حسن‌بن علی(ع) ; ۴ـ همسران و فرزندان عثمان‌بن عفان۵ ;ـ زمین‌های خالصه عراق در زمان عمر ; ۶ـ توضیحی در باب منابع مربوط به بحران در زمان خلافت عثمان۷ ;ـ موسی‌بن طلحه و امویان .کتابنامه, کتاب‌شناسی آثار پروفسور مادلونگ و نمایه در انتهای کتاب آمده است.

انتشارات چکیده نظریات نویسنده را چنین بیان می‌کند حتی اگر پیامبر به جانشینی کسی هم تصریح نکرده باشد, از خلافت ابوبکر بر امت خود رضایت نداشته و این امر هرگز با سفارش پیامبر چهره نبسته است.

In a comprehensive study of early Islamic history, Wilferd Madelung examines the conflict which developed after Muhammad's death for the leadership of the Muslim community. He pursues the history of this conflict through the reign of the four 'Rightly Guided' caliphs to its climax in the first inter-Muslim war. The outcome of the war, which marked the demise of the reign of the Early Companions, resulted in the lasting schism between Sunnite and Shi'ite Islam. Contrary to recent scholarly trends, the author brings out Ali's early claim to legitimate succession, which gained support from the Shi'a, and offers a convincing reinterpretation of early Islamic history. This book will make a major contribution to the debate over succession. Wilferd Madelung's book The Succession to Muhammad has been awarded the Best Book of the Year prize by the Islamic Republic of Iran for the year 1997.
