The alarm buzzing at 5 AM. It's like the starting gun before the race.
Waking up to see the darkness and determination to see the light at the end.
It's not just another day. 30 days are left for the D-Day.
You make a mark on the calendar with your fav pen - 15th May. You notice a couple of days not marked on the calendar.
Last Friday, you had seen your friends on social media with filtered frames partying at a place that didn't look like India. Am I a loser, you thought to yourself. That day you didn't touch your fav pen and the calendar.
But today, you do not regret sleeping extra on one day. You needed that break from the monotony and it's fine. It's human. In fact, it makes you more human than partying hard to destroy your liver and the entire next day.
You had made a plan for the last 45 days. Followed some targets of your mentor on Telegram as well. Everything is going fine.
But...
Whenever there's a but, things never get easier.
But is this enough, you think? UPSC is called unpredictable for a reason.
But, then you have trust. Trust in your discipline, your efforts, your mentor, and your community. Trust that you will make it this time.
You remember the lyrics to your favorite song -
It pumps you up. And also reminds you of the text that your mentor shared last night.
Today, you are going on a new journey with double the efforts to make your name on the final list.
You walk in the summer heat of Delhi to your center with confidence more than the rest of the roll numbers. You are not afraid of your results, because you have given your best. And that's all that matters.
