"Myocarditis and myopericarditis are well described adverse events of special interest (AESI) following COVID-19 vaccinations.

This study describes clinical follow up of patients with myocarditis associated with COVID-19 vaccination. A significant proportion of cases continue to experience clinical symptoms and have abnormal clinical findings at 6-months after presentation.

Further analysis and long-term surveillance of myocarditis cases will help in understanding the persistence of abnormalities and symptoms, including any potential development of arrhythmias, heart failure or other cardiac comorbidities.”
