Dbrand's Companion Cube Steam Machine case has been cancelled and full refunds are being issued
Dbrand's Companion Cube enclosure case was launched on June 22 and became the companyβs 2nd fastest-selling product, just behind its Switch 2 Killswitch case.
The project consumed more than 1,000 hours of engineering work, required 44 injection molding tools for the individual components, and was redesigned multiple times before launch. Dbrand even rented a university campus to film the launch trailer.
Shortly after the launch, Valve's legal team contacted the company stating it did not have a license to sell it. Dbrand said it appealed to Valve of continuing the project under an official license, but the request was denied.
Dbrand acknowledged it never had the right to produce the accessory.

We asked Valve whether there was any way to keep the project alive: properly licensed, with their blessing, on their terms. They said no.

Hello there!
I'd like to show you what I've been working on for the past 8 hours. This is a cert exploit that our device (among many others) is vulnerable to. With this exploit, we can practically modify the LK (Little Kernel) also known as the bootloader to enable/disable features with the usage of fenrir.
I have modified the bootloader string from MBM -> NIG (yes I did that intentionally, it's funny). Moreover I have disabled image authentication verification which verifies all the firmware partitions and I disabled the most annoying feature of all: Preflash validation check. With these modifications, I was able to have a custom bootloader version string, I was able to boot a custom boot logo, I was able to flash partitions in bootloader and the best part of all, I WAS ABLE TO BOOT OSS DTBO!
This is just a teaser, more info (possibly a writeup as well) to come soonβ’οΈ :)
Credits are given in the next post (due to telegram's low word limit).

For those unfamiliar with it, this basically means you can use fenrir (for the average person this means strong integrity) and boot custom LKs / any bootloader on virtually any relatively new MTK device, even if that wasn't previously possible.
It includes two exploits: the 2023 one (well known and already patched), and the new variant, which should affect most devices.
To use the new exploit against a patched/modified LK image:

Claude Fable 5 will not do your coding and debugging alongwith requiring separate usage credits
Claude Fable 5 will be available globally from today. However, Anthropic says that "some routine tasks" like "coding" and "debugging" will fall back to Opus 4.8. This means, coding and debugging are simply routine tasks in the eyes of Anthropic and thus will utilize Opus 4.8 instead.
Additionally, Anthropic also notes that the "Fable 5 will be included for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7, after which it will be available via usage credits"
Atp, I have more respect for OpenAI now than whatever bs Anthropic does.
