Defense spox: Recent wars differed fundamentally from the 8-year Sacred Defence

🔹Brigadier General Talaei-Nik said the second and third imposed wars differed fundamentally from the eight-year Iran-Iraq war in patterns, objectives, and methods.

🔹The enemy's shared goals across all three wars: overthrowing the Islamic Republic, dismembering Iran, containing the Revolution, and weakening Iran's regional position. Recent wars added new objectives—degrading Iran's nuclear, missile, and naval power.

🔹"Despite advanced technology, the enemy failed all strategic goals. Iran's underground capabilities thwarted their calculations."

🔹"These were wars of technology, specialists, and hybrid warfare."

Pezeshkian: Deep mistrust now exists between Iran and America

🔹President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that a deep state of mistrust has emerged between Iran and the United States, following repeated US violations of commitments and acts of aggression.

🔹He emphasized that rebuilding trust requires the US to take practical, verifiable steps—not just words—including ending the naval blockade, lifting economic terrorism, and respecting Iran's sovereignty.

🔹"The Iranian people have experienced American betrayal firsthand. Trust cannot be rebuilt through threats or pressure, but through action and respect," he said.

Pezeshkian to Al Jazeera: Hormuz crisis solvable through dialogue, not bullying

🔹President Masoud Pezeshkian told Al Jazeera that Iran has lost trust in Washington after repeated US attacks following every negotiation, stressing that Qatar and Pakistan are mediating and conveying Tehran's messages.

🔹"We were not the ones who closed the Strait of Hormuz. America blocks our path, and Israel sets the region ablaze. This can only be solved through dialogue, not bullying," he said.

🔹On the region: "We don't need a regional policeman. Security comes through cooperation among regional countries. Yemen is not our proxy—we only sympathize with the oppressed."

🔹He emphasized that the US must return to the MoU and demonstrate it does not seek to overthrow Iran's government before trust can be rebuilt.

Saravan, a living museum of historic minaret architecture

Saravan in Sistan-Baluchestan preserves rare mud-brick minarets from before loudspeakers, when muezzins climbed internal staircases to deliver the call to prayer. The Aspich Mosque minaret—the only fully circular one still standing—rises 10 meters with a 20-step spiral. The Zangian minaret features a square exterior and circular interior, alongside a retreat chamber. These modest structures trace the evolution of religious architecture in Iran.

Trump's 'small potatoes' keep growing

The Pentagon has quietly added 37 more wounded service members to its Iran war tally, bringing the total to 861—without explaining when or how they were injured. This follows earlier discrepancies: four deaths removed then reclassified, nearly 100 injuries missing from the database, and 8 suicide attempts aboard the USS Lincoln. Trump once called the war "small potatoes." The potatoes keep growing.

Netanyahu's nightmare at UN: Soleimani's portrait in Iran's empty seat

🔹As Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly, a portrait of General Qassem Soleimani sat on the absent Iranian delegation's desk—a striking counterpoint to the Israeli PM's display of a pager linked to Israel's deadly September 2024 Lebanon operation.

🔹Nearly 77 delegations—about 40% of UN member states—walked out as he began speaking. He insulted them as "moral cowards" and claimed bombing Iran's nuclear sites was among his easiest decisions.

🔹Netanyahu, subject to an ICC arrest warrant for Gaza war crimes, spoke as if accountability were for others.

🔹Iran's envoy warned: "Any further aggression will be met with a devastating response."
