Baghaei: US is in disarray; we're advancing ties with China, Russia

🔹Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the US is "in a state of disarray," having entangled itself in military aggression in the region while its interventions elsewhere have peaked.

🔹"Diplomacy is part of defense. We are not authorized to shirk our responsibility simply because of past bitter experiences," he said, stressing that Iran will pursue diplomacy if there's even the slightest chance of preventing escalation.

🔹"The era of hit-and-run is over; attacks on Iran will not go unanswered. This is one of the fantasies raised—everyone knows such a claim is baseless."

🔹On relations with Russia and China, Baghaei said they are "based on mutual respect and shared interests," adding: "Sometimes we should let American officials remain in their illusions."

Iran and Uzbekistan: Where Shared History Comes Alive in Tashkent

Tashkent's Islamic Civilization Center, opened in March 2026, presents Uzbekistan's heritage as a continuous narrative spanning ancient Central Asia, the Islamic Golden Age, and the Timurid era. Persian miniatures from Shiraz, scholars like Avicenna and Al-Biruni, and Silk Road connections reveal a shared cultural world that transcends modern borders. For an Iranian visitor, the experience raises a pointed question: why has Iran, with its own rich heritage, not built a comparable institution of such ambition and scholarship?

📰 Ghalibaf: US can't earn Iran's trust without implementing seven conditions

🔹Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf told Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir that he had explicitly told the US Vice President that America's long record of hostile actions against Iran has created deep mistrust.

🔹"With Trump's violation of the Islamabad MoU and his repeated threats, the wall of mistrust is now higher than before," he said.

🔹"We have no new demands. The US cannot earn Iran's trust without implementing the seven conditions presented in New York."

🔹"Threats and military movements cannot influence Iran's strategic decisions. It was the US that entered the quagmire through miscalculation and war; now it must take the necessary steps to exit."

AI is Shortening the "Kill Chain" in Iran War, Says Canadian Legal Scholar

Heidi Matthews, a law professor at York University, tells the Tehran Times that AI systems like Maven have compressed target identification from hours to minutes, raising grave concerns about human oversight and civilian protection. She cites the Minab school strike as evidence that existing international humanitarian law—particularly the obligation to take feasible precautions—may have been violated. Matthews also calls the US-Israeli war an unlawful act of aggression and urges states to support accountability mechanisms.

Brother Munir! The ball is in the US court

The writer says until the US abandons the illusion of forcing surrender, the conflict won't end.

Trump approval crashes to record low 31% as Iran war backlash mounts**

Trump's approval has fallen to 31%—the lowest of both his terms—as voters punish him for the Iran war and rising prices. 68% disapprove of his economic management, including 37% of Republicans. Democrats now lead the generic ballot 47-35, their widest margin this cycle. GOP campaigns have nearly stopped mentioning Trump in ads.
