Araghchi: "We will never forget, never forgive, and will always pursue the Minab school incident"

The foreign minister visited an exhibition on the Minab school tragedy from the US and Israel attack on Iran, calling the exhibits "documents of the righteousness and oppression endured by the Iranian people"—especially children deliberately targeted.

"Though we lost them, they became legends of heroism," he said, adding that he hopes to take the exhibition abroad—"provided they have the fortitude to witness it. Given their track record, it would not surprise me if they refuse."

Iran's national youth handball team defeated Uzbekistan 36-24 in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Asian Youth Handball Championship in Jordan.

🔹In a message marking Government Week, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei praised the administration's efforts despite sanctions and the imposed war, honoring martyred presidents Rajaei, Raisi, and the martyred Leader.

🔹He stressed the need to narrate Iran's strength, stating: "Weakness needs resolution, not highlighting. Narrating strength is essential."

🔹The Leader called for focus on production, inflation control, and strategic cultural and educational priorities to build a "stronger Iran."

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will hold talks on September 1 in Bishkek on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed Friday.

Pezeshkian: Islamabad MoU was a victory for Iran; US violations disrupted it

🔹In a TV interview marking the start of his third year in office, President Masoud Pezeshkian described the Islamabad MoU as a "great and exceptional achievement" reached through collective wisdom in the SNSC.

🔹"In this MoU, by the assessment of all political analysts—both inside and outside—we won. The other side was obligated to act on over 9 clauses, while we had commitments in just two or three," he said.

🔹Pezeshkian noted that the US began lifting sanctions, released some funds, and halted the war on Lebanon—but then violated the framework on the Strait of Hormuz, breaking the agreement.

🔹He confirmed that Iran and Oman have reached a new understanding on a joint route through the Strait, and talks are ongoing.

🔹"If the route is opened based on the agreed framework, the US must fulfill its commitments—lift sanctions, free our assets, and halt Israeli actions in Lebanon. We will then reopen the Strait," he said.

IRGC Navy: US claims on Hormuz are a clear lie; our control is absolute

🔹The IRGC Navy dismissed US officials' claims about the Strait of Hormuz being open as a "clear lie" aimed solely at controlling oil prices and covering up Washington's failures.

🔹"Our control over this strategic waterway is absolute. The Strait remains closed to all vessels attempting to transit without coordination with the Islamic Republic," the statement read.

🔹The IRGC Navy assured the nation: "This will continue until the US terrorist army ends its aggression against our country and fulfills its commitments."

SNSC secretary: Leader's guidance on unity is clear, indisputable

🔹SNSC Secretary Mohsen Rezaei stated that the Supreme Leader's explicit emphasis on avoiding "pessimistic rhetoric," "false dichotomies," and the prohibition of "anything harming social cohesion" provides a "clear and indisputable strategy" for all.

🔹"Today, national unity and social cohesion are among the most fundamental components of power and national security," he added.

Pezeshkian: We will stand firm against any aggressor

🔹President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate development projects across the country, reaffirmed Iran's defensive posture: "The Islamic Republic does not initiate war—we do not welcome war—but we will stand firmly against any aggressor, and no power can force a nation that stands with full will and strength into submission."

🔹He stressed that despite diplomatic efforts, with the support of the people, officials, and the Armed Forces, Iran "will not bow to any threat."

🔹Pezeshkian expressed confidence that unity and cohesion—as emphasized by the Supreme Leader—can resolve all problems.

Enemy achieved none of its goals: Iran army chief

🔹The commander of Iran's Army stated that despite the US and Israeli regime's aggression, the enemy "failed to achieve any of its strategic objectives," with Iran's Armed Forces successfully defending the nation's sovereignty.

🔹The general noted that Iran's military capabilities and the unity of the people thwarted the enemy's plans for a swift victory.
