Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran has “no reason” to return to negotiations with the United States, citing what he described as repeated violations of diplomatic engagements.

Speaking to NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, September 27, Araghchi said Iran accepted U.S. proposals for negotiations in 2025 and February 2026, but was attacked during the talks on both occasions. He also said Iran accepted a post-war agreement after three months of negotiations, but Washington violated it within two weeks.

Araghchi added that Iran remains committed to diplomacy and will not miss opportunities for peace, while stressing that Tehran is prepared to confront any further aggression.
