Telegram is sending invites to beta testers to join a new channel with public testing announcements

📩 Some beta users got a new message from a verified Telegram channel with an invite to join a new public testing channel for Telegram beta.

Previously, this process was organised via a Telegram Memes channel and was a bit chaotic. Now, beta testers who joined this channel may enable notifications in order not to miss new tests that are scheduled by the Telegram team.
This new channel is private and you will have to wait for an invitation from Telegram. Did you get it already?

Screen sharing and video in voice chats seems to work in channels now too (was working in groups before)

Telegram beta 8.0.0 got an "endless" channel feed and video live stream support for channel voice chats

It is very easy to access by pulling up from the bottom of the channel that you've read. Then it will show an icon of the next unread channel that will open so you can decide if you want to go there or not. And so on until you will scroll across the whole unread pile that you have.

Now you can remove sender data from the forwarded message. To do so you will need to click on the cross button to see a popup with 3 different options. In fact, this feature isn't fully working yet and sender name will remain in the message.

Another change in voice chat section is related to the voice chat recording feature. There you can now select if you want to record voice only, portrait or a landscape video.

UPDATE: this feature was disabled for now

A bunch of minor improvements can be found in the stickers section as well. The sticker suggestion section now has a layout with vertical scrolling. The GIFs tab shows animated emojis on the top bar. And last but not least, the stickers section got a bit different layout showing bigger pack previews when you scroll.

Telegram beta adds trending swimlane to stickers discovery tab

In the recent Telegram beta update to version 8.0.0, it got a Recently Used swimlane. This time, it got one more section for Trending stickers in the latest minor patch. There you can see new stickers that went popular on Telegram. Clicking on any of them will navigate you to the old Sticker discovery view with the selected sticker pack being in the middle.

In the latest beta version 8.0.1, you may spot that now it is possible to interact with such animojis like 💩 🎈 ❤️ or 🎆

After you send one of them to the chat, any user can tap on it and see additional animation like popping fireworks or flying balloons.
