The Power of Negativity
Most see negativity as negative (damn, that rhymes).
People consider me the most optimistic person. I'm actually not. Every single day and every minute, I tell myself how unattractive, broke, unfunny, dumb, and without a good personality I am. There are two reasons why.
If I'm to tell this to myself and live with it, no one can come and simply hurt me. One time, I was having this conversation with someone, and he genuinely wanted to hurt me. He said so many bad things about me, but to be honest, they're actually true. I accept all the blame and accusations, even the false ones, and he was genuinely fazed by it. The conversation turned out different.
So, it's the same like taking a vaccine: a watered-down version of the disease so your system gets prepared.
Second, despite saying all of this to myself, I still know I love myself. And my self-love doesn't come from my skillset, attractiveness, popularity, or unanswered messages (lol, trauma dumping).
So, in a world of positive, happy people or sad, negative people, I choose to be the happiest negative person, a person who laughs at his demise.
