Couple of days ago, one of my friend, who could not clear his Final CA in December 2021, and had decided to quit CA, visited ICAI Branch to check for recent job openings for semi qualified CA.

While he was glancing through the vacancies, suddenly a 55 to 60 years of age looking gentleman approached him and asked "Excuse me Son, can you spare few minutes to help me clear some queries?

Friend: "Yes sure Sir, please tell"

Gentleman:
"Actually, my dream was to clear CA Exams and start my own practice. During my young age, I had cleared Inter exams. But despite trying hard, I could not clear CA Final exams and left the course after few attempts and started job, out of frustration.

My career started progressing gradually with good increments and good experience, and in few years, I had a good amount of knowledge and savings.
I actually have everything with me right now. I have toured lot many abroad places also and have time for my children, EXCEPT THE ONLY DREAM OF BEING A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT still.

I know there is a huge difference in the course now and I will face lots of questions and stares from youngsters, but I want to achieve my dream and appear for May 2022 Final CA exams. Can you please explain me the current syllabus, ICAI books, best authors and how to go about? It would be really helpful please..

Friend (Completely astonished): Sir at this age? Are you.....

Person: "I know what you are thinking, but I want my name to be prefixed, and I will try my best to achieve it. Age doesnt matter so far our ICAI doesnt"

And he took down all the notes and guidance for the next 45 minutes approx.
Unfortunately, the gentleman is not on Linkedin, and he even refused my friend for a selfie with him.

We arent sure whether the Gentleman will really appear for the exams, but his this intent, even revived my friend's intent to re-appear for May exams again with even more efforts!

When you decide to achieve something with full intent, there is no stopping whatsoever! :)
