no one is responsible for your happiness but appreciate the ones that add to it.

๐ผ๐ช๐น HAPPY ETHIOPIAN NEW YEAR โ ENKUTATASH! ๐ช๐น๐ผ
Today, Ethiopia welcomes 2019 E.C. โ a new year filled with hope, joy, and new beginnings. โจ
One of the unique things about the Ethiopian calendar is that it has 13 months: 12 months of 30 days each, plus a special 13th month called Pagume (แณแแแ).
Pagume has 5 days in a normal year and 6 days every four years. It is often described as a short month that brings the Ethiopian year to its close before the new year begins. ๐ฟ
Then comes Enkutatash, the Ethiopian New Year, celebrated on September 11 (or September 12 in a leap year). It also marks the beginning of the beautiful season when the countryside is filled with yellow Meskel flowers. ๐ผ
Families and friends come together, children sing traditional songs, people visit loved ones, and homes are filled with food, coffee, laughter, and blessings. โโค๏ธ
For Ethiopians, Enkutatash is more than just a change of the calendar. It represents a fresh beginning โ a time to leave the past behind, welcome new possibilities, and share happiness with others.
๐ป From Ethiopia to the world:
MELKAM ADDIS AMET! ๐ช๐นโจ
May this new year bring peace, love, prosperity, health, and beautiful new beginnings to everyone around the world. ๐๐

We must never stop believing that beautiful things can happen
Even in times of chaos.

paint the world. stand unapologetically in your own skin and let your fire burn loud. wring out your blood, sweat, and tears until the mark you leave is impossible to wash away. chase everything you ever dreamed of and more, running at it like a madman completely consumed by the pursuit. smash your true self into every single day until you leave absolutely zero doubt. live relentless.

A Venusian Soul-
Watched Venus linger beside the Moon,
As though sharin'....
& ah secret too sacred for words!
Stars Gathered quietly,
not to oushine
Just to Witness-
Celestial balance unfoldin'...
No grand spectacle,
no demand for attention;
only the gentle certainty
of two lights finding harmony.
And on the 14th of September,
The heavens seemed softer,
the night a little wiser,
as if the universe itself
had paused for a moment
to celebrate a union
written in the sky.

Celebrate
Dust on the floor,
Better be ignored
Open the door.
Step light, step slow,
Yellow glow.
