I'm an Orthodox Christian. Historical Christian. I always offend Catholics by saying out loud what I is true: no man stands in for God on this earth, pope or otherwise. I find the claim blasphemous, and I'm not going to pretend I don't.
Every so often another denomination wants to litigate whose version is superior. I don't play that game. I'm a historical Christian. My Church was built by the Apostles, not from the ambitions of kings or the inventions of men or a the Bible edited and re-edited to pacify or rule.
And when somebody mocks my God or takes a swing at my faith, I don't get offended. I don't have to. God's authority doesn't run on my outrage. A thing that is true stays true no matter how many people refuse it.
Defending what you believe is one thing. Feeling threatened because someone else doesn't believe it is another thing entirely.
My faith isn't fragile. Nobody's disbelief can crack it, and I don't have to win a single argument to know Whom I worship.
If your faith only holds up when nobody is allowed to question it, maybe what you're guarding isn't God. Maybe it's your own certainty about Him.
God doesn't need me to defend His existence. I need Him for mine. God is waiting for you- stop waiting for Him.
