#H4EAD Good News today as SaveJobsUSA vs DHS case reaches result and court decides in favor of DHS.

ImmigrationVoice reports that court did not find DHS overstepping its authority in issuing H4 EADs. Court has sided with H4 EAD workers and SaveJobsUSA can now ask for re-trial in the lower court, which had earlier sided with DHS too.
SaveJobsUSA had claimed that DHS has no authority to issue H4 EAD work permits.

Note that DHS is still on its way to H4 EAD as per their intentions using the rule making process. This result of this court case is kind of a temporary relief.

Court says #H4EAD increases competition for American workers. Did not stop H4 EAD but referred to lower court for re-trial.

There is good news for both sides but no concrete final decision on stopping H4 EAD work permits.

H4 EAD approval after biometrics in Premium:

A user has reported that they got H4 EAD approval within H1B premium time when they upgraded H1B to premium along with RFE response.

The trick that seems to work here is to to upgrade your H1B + H4 + H4 EAD to premium immediately after your Biometrics is completed.

Note that it works for some cases and not all. Depends on your luck and how often you pray for your visa :)

The story is dis-heartening but the bitter truth about USA immigration is that a Uber or Lyft driver, not even eligible for high skilled #H1B visa, can get Green card within a year.

On the other hand, an Indian skilled worker may have to wait up-to 150 years to even have a chance of seeing the prized Green plastic!

H4 EAD news update today: DHS updated their agenda for H4 EAD revocation with a date of Mar 2020. This is their normal update and nothing to worry about.

Some news websites have reported it as sensational news about H4 EAD ending in March 2020. Indian news sites will also definitely pick this up and report it without giving the real picture. You can simply ignore it.

DHS updates this date twice a year and it has been going on for last 2 years.
