THE PRODIGAL SON
Part 2: Pig Farmer…
And when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. Luke 15:14–16
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9–10

What Is Repentance?
The Bible tells us that repentance means a change of mind. A true Christian must first go through repentance; in other words, it is necessary for them to have their mind completely changed in order to receive the Holy Spirit and truly become a new creation.
To repent does not mean simply feeling sad and regretting the act that was committed. Repentance is not merely making a decision in your heart not to commit certain acts anymore because you did not like having committed them, because they harmed you, or for some similar reason. To repent is more than that; it means completely changing your mindset regarding what you have done.
A truly repentant person begins to hate their former state and no longer accepts that way of life.
This change of mind depends on the person, but it also depends on the work of the Holy Spirit.
When the Apostle Paul said:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
He was referring to genuine repentance, which means adopting new principles and new goals.
The repentant Christian has their mind, attitudes, and behaviour changed in relation to sin. This repentance is essential in order to inherit the Kingdom of God.
John the Baptist began preaching:
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" Matthew 3:2 (NKJV)

Part 3: In a Moment of Time…
And the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Luke 4:5
And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself, he said: How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; Luke 15:16-18

Parte 4: When you don’t think things through, you suffer the consequences…
And when he had spent everything, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in need. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants. Luke 15:14-19

323 Days to Go… ⏳
Faith is not limited to what we can see.
In 1989, pastors and members travelled to the Holy Land, where they partook of a special Lord’s Supper, remembering the greatest expression of love: the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.
Generations have come and gone, but the faith remains. We continue to believe in the One we have not seen, trusting in the Holy Spirit, who reveals Him to us.
What was experienced in the Holy Land is yet another chapter in the story of the Universal Church.

Good morning everyone
“The pride of your heart has deceived you, You who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Whose habitation is high; You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’
Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set your nest among the stars, From there I will bring you down,” says the Lord.”
Obadiah 1:3-4
Meditating on this verses it shows us that pride blinds people.
The Edomites thought that because they were in that rock cave, they were strong and could be impossible for anyone to destroy them.
They thought no one had the power to knock them down.
No one is high or protected enough to escape divine judgement. Relying only on material goods, our own strength, in any kind of positions one may have, responsibilities, trust in our on understanding is a mistake. Humbleness always pleases God
God bless 🙏🏼
