3% is carried by plasma.
🔶️ Carbon dioxide ;
20-25% is carried by RBC.
70% as a bicarbonate
3% by plasma
🔶️ 100ml of blood carries ;
4ml of carbon dioxide.
5ml of oxygen.
💠 Facts :-
🔶️ Carbonic anhydrase is the fastest known enzyme. It requires zinc to get activated.
🔶️Role of oxygen in regulation of respiratory rthym is quite insufficient
🔶️ Larynx is also called sound box.
🔶️Simple diffusion occurs in alveoli during the exchange of gases.
💠 Disorders :-
🥀 Asthama :-
🔶️Caused due to inflammation of bronchi and bronchioles.
🔶️Direct contact to pollen grains leads to astham.
🔶️Wheezing sound is th3 characteristic of asthama.
🔶️Mixture of Helium and oxygen is give to treat asthama
🥀 Emphysema :-
🔶️Main reason for emphysema is cigarettes smoking.
🔶️Alveolar walls gets damaged
🔶️Alpha antitripsin obtained from humans is used to treat emphysema.
