The SO.4050 Vautour II was one of the first post-war French jet aircraft. Its first flight took place on October 16th 1952, and it served in the French Air Force from 1958 to 1979. ▪️The Vautour IIN is a bomber boasting a massive payload of up to 4,400 kg. Against ground targets, it can deploy bombs ranging from 250 kg to 400 kg, as well as rockets from the compact SNEB Type 23 to the colossal AS-30. To fend off air threats, it is equipped with four 30 mm DEFA 551 cannons and AA-20 air-to-air missiles.

▶️Arjun Mk.1: Pierce and Destroy

The British ground tech tree recently gained its first Indian-designed tank in War Thunder — the Arjun Mk.1. Its silhouette is immediately reminiscent of other MBTs, just with slightly different proportions. That resemblance isn’t entirely coincidental: during development, India collaborated with the German firm Krauss-Maffei, the company behind the iconic Leopard 2. The German inspiration is especially noticeable in the turret, so that’s where we’ll start.

The Soviet Union entered the 1940s with BT-series tanks, multi-turreted T-28s, and other prewar designs, but by 1945 it was already testing the first prototypes of what would become the T-54. With its combination of a powerful 100-mm gun, strong armor protection, and good mobility, the new tank clearly outclassed most wartime medium tanks.
