▶️Su-17: A New Life for the Su-7

In the second half of the 1950s, Soviet factories built a small batch of Su-7 frontline fighters. The aircraft was fast and agile, but far from trouble-free. During testing, it exceeded 2000 km/h and had an impressive service ceiling, but the early AL-7F-1 engine suffered from poor reliability and a short service life. An even more serious issue was takeoff and landing performance. Because of the highly swept wing, both approach and takeoff speeds were very high. This made the aircraft more difficult to handle and required longer runways.

▶️Steel Fury: Jagdpanther & S-706

On October 21, War Thunder launched a new Battle Pass season: “Steel Fury.” Its theme harkens back to the classic German engineering during the World War II period. The season’s main prizes are the S-706 torpedo boat and the famous Jagdpanther self-propelled gun in its late G2 variant.

▶️Ki-93-I Ko: The Last Samurai

The Ki-93 was the last heavy twin-engine fighter built in Japan during World War II. Its career was incredibly short. The only flying prototype took to the skies for the first time on April 8th, 1945, suffered damage during landing, and was destroyed on the ground by American bombers just a month later. But in War Thunder, the Ki-93-I Ko finally gets a chance to show what it’s capable of!
