⛏The largest miner in the U.S. reported its August results

Over the past month, the company MARA (formerly Marathon Digital) mined 637 bitcoins, confirming 196 blocks in the blockchain of the main cryptocurrency.

The company increased its capacity to 35.2 EH/s (exahashes per second) and its bitcoin reserves on the balance sheet to 25,945 BTC ($1.47 billion). Not a single coin was sold in August.

At the end of July, the company announced the purchase of $100 million worth of bitcoins as a strategic investment. MARA is the second-largest corporate holder of bitcoin after MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor.

MARA's shares are traded on NASDAQ at $15.26. Over the past month, their price has dropped by approximately 10%.
